Medplaya Aparthotel Sant Eloi

We visited Medplaya Hotel Sant Eloi in September with family and very pleased, staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for family holiday, lots of entertainment for kids during the day in the hotel such as painting, stage acting, quizes and swimming pool, disco. In the evening entertainment for whole family at the bar: games, bingo. Food is very delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner is different every day. Only 5 mins drive away from Tossa De Mar with shuttle bus running all day. Tossa De Mar is beatiful town with clean beaches, great views. Highly recommend this hotel.

For a start we had uncooked chicken so we thought ah must be a mistake as non of the other was raw then we had raw pork the day after and was told by the manager we should of asked for it cooked more like how is our fault we shouldnt be asking for food to be cooked more we are on holiday not at home and the drinks with all inclusive the spirits and step by drinks are watered down as it took a lot of cocktails/ vodka and commes to even feel the drinks. I came with my mother and younger sister and the raw chicken made my sister feel sick so we went to town to get her checked but we didn’t speak Spanish so we have fed to use translate and was told it was possible due to poor food or a bug and the manager is rude but the reception is very nice and the bar staff are very nice the same with the cleaning staff although the rooms are very kept to spec the rooms seem abit run down and had been told by other hotel stayers that they’re rooms had feces smeared on the wall apparently but I am not the only one who encountered the raw food as another stayer had the same and was upgraded but we was told to ask for it more cooked and apparently it is our fault. We feel like we had been taken the mick out of us for how much we spent to go on this holiday the bacon taste like your average ham you would put on your kids school lunch. Do not recommend to families or teenagers going for a lads trip. The best bit about the hotel and all inclusive is free cocktails and beer, free snack lounge plus they are a lot of flies on the food and it put me and my mother off as they was not tens but hundreds of plays on the food in the restaurant and snack lounge and I didn’t even want to thing how many flies or possible larvae we had eaten because it’s so off putting. And the electrical wiring is very worrying . Will not be coming here again

We have been abroad close to 100 times and I can honestly say this is by far the worst place we have ever been it’s a bit like pontine but worse you really need to take note on all the bad reviews on this place because there true I could go on for ever but there is to many bad things about the place

Wow, just got back from here with my 3 young children and we just had the most wonderful time. The building is SO beautiful and you can feel the history. It's been wonderfully preserved and character maintained, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Just so peaceful. It has everything you'd need and nothing you wouldn't. It's the loveliest little escape. Good: 1. Safe enclosed site and a pool that never gets deeper than an adult's neck PLUS a splash park. Fantastic for young children and so safe for them to play. 2. Lovely friendly staff and entertainment 3. Food was fine, nice stews, madras, satays etc every night. And a junk beige food buffet too. 4. Walks all around, beautiful views, wildlife 5. It has a little van shuttle to the town but honestly the children are so young I only came to swim, eat and sleep. The shore is also very steep so I wouldn't bother going to the beach with small chn. 6. Just the most beautiful building and tasteful decor. Could do with: 1. A shop on site. We had to go to Tossa for drinks, crisps, jamon etc and floaties, could have done with this on site. 2. A wider lunch provision than pizza for the non-all inclusivers. 3. Personally I could have done without EUROHOUSE PISCINA AEROBICS every lunchtime but I get many do enjoy it. Just a lovely simple, peaceful, joyful hotel.

We stayed as a family 2 adults , 4 teenagers. Firstly 99% of the staff we encountered where friendly and helped if needed ie finding out the bus schedule, paying for a late check out room. We had one of the "renovated rooms", this was adequate for what we needed shower, change and sleep... it still looked a little run down though shower was broken it didn't sit in the shower hold therefore we had to try and prop it and rest it in-between the pole and wall. the "mini bar" advertised was just a small fridge it wasn't stocked with anything...the kettle was broken/smashed, there was only one plug in the living/dining area. Cleaners did come in every day but I'm not sure what they did? She asked us to take all our belongings off the floor to make it easier for her but the floor definitely wasn't cleaned throughout our stay, towels where replaced and bins emptied, but again not toilet roll and we had to ask for this. Food- standard all inclusive buffet like everywhere , always chips and pasta out , chicken----this is a huge issue there where kebabs and fillets off the grill and both times neither where cooked. Snack bar- started off "ok" crisps, bits left over from breakfast, ham cheese, bread but the last few days of our holiday no bread out and had to ask for it- which seemed a big inconvenience to i presume the manager/owner older man , short with dark hair his presence when we saw him around was not friendly at all and ice-creams where never restocked. Pizza buffet- so on our booking when we checked in we had dates to go in given on 31st August and 3rd September when my partner when to check on this for the 3rd September as the sign was covered over outside ,reception said it had actually finished/closed... This was Disappointing. Drinks- Several drinks ran out several times in both restaurant and bar and where just covered over on the machines. I'm not sure if the issues raised above where because they are "slowing down" for the season but it was disappointing we came in the last week of the UK summer holidays. Bus- the bus ran as there schedule we used it several days and was no issues was very handy. There where only 3/4 English family's here us included but this was not an issue for us we don't go to "make friends" , Pool/sunbeds- there was no issue any morning to get a sunbed we went some days at 10.30 and could easily get 6 beds together. The pool was adequate with a splash area for smaller children, our girls took floats and had no issues using these neither did other children. There was an medical issue with a gentleman near the bar area one day and i can not commend the staff enough , the life guard was quick acting and saw to him and the reception staff got an ambulance - they really did do great! Entertainment- there was something on every night bingo/quiz/kids disco, we just struggled as most nights there where only the odd word in English but we sat out had a couple of drinks all the less. don't deserve it 13 complaints put on mail . it's not worth the money wait for response from your side. no response then it will be made public and all offices will be sent an email (tui, neckermann, booking and etc) I have proposed to you by email.
