Chycara

Recently stayed here for a family wedding, such lovely lodges set in a cute environment with lots of green space. Very comfy beds and pillows and great facilities too. It’s so nicely run. Only downside was the lack of crockery and glasses in all the lodges, our lodge in particular slept 6 but there weren’t enough plates/ glasses/ no pizza cutter etc. all in all, a lovely stay where happy memories were made

Lodges were beautiful. Clean comfortable and had everything you need. Surrounding,s was lovely so quiet and relaxing. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. And hope to go again. Would love Christmas there maybe. Lots to see and do nearby. Swimming pool lovely as well.

There were 8 of us so we had two lodges, Garden and Lake. Whilst both lodges were equally clean and had comfortable beds, the kitchen equipment was uneven in provision. Lake lacked a cafetiere, and had missing cutlery. Garden had more utensils including multiple spatulas and fryers. Instructions for appliances in info leaflets in a box file, kept in one lodge in a top cabinet above oven and overhead. Took us shorties a while to find! Other lodge occupants did not find leaflets for adjusting heating so resorted to trial and error. No toiletries in bathrooms, but staff found some leftover shampoos and body washes from swimming pool. So zero waste as a plus point :-) Needs a car to enjoy local sights. Saw many nearby places easily. Supermarkets nearby so self catering easy. Location is tranquil. Good that we were a big group. For city folk not used to the darkness and quiet of the countryside, it's reassuring to have safety in numbers.

Wow! This place is just beautiful. We stayed in lake lodge it had everything you need with stunning views of the lake and garden. It’s a short drive to Truro and under an hour from Eden project. The surroundings make this the prefect escape after a long day visiting all the beauty of Cornwall

This was our second visit to Chycara. The first time we stayed at the Lake Lodge and this time at the Willow Lodge. What fabulous lodges, fully equipped, clean, spacious and in a fantastic setting within acres of beautiful woodland and gardens. Each setting is private and so relaxing and calming. The bubbling sounds from the waterfalls and streams are relaxing. A truly wonderful place to stay. The gardens are well maintained but still so natural. I would recommend the heated indoor pool, so warm and we were able to book it so we had it to ourselves. We also took advantage of using the Flotation Room and having massages on site by Georgie. I've never had a flotation treatment before but it was amazing and it was the best massage I've ever had. Chycara is an exceptional place. Highly recommended. We will definitely visit again.

Very enjoyable one night stay, very peaceful and exactly what I needed- a bit of piece and quiet. I will be sure to be back again when I need to escape the stresses of work for 24 hours. Didn’t get to use the facilities but all look pleasant and clean. Will try them next time.

We stayed in the Shepherds Hut which is situated in a lovely setting. It has a seating area outside to sit and enjoy the garden and listen to the babbling stream ( you can hear the stream babbling at night ) . The hut itself is very comfortable, modern and bright with a good hot shower. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and on hand when needed. Very happy with our stay

I just wanted to thank Rob and all the team at Chycara for making sure my daughter had the most wonderful wedding day on March 25th, despite some pretty challenging weather! From the first visit onwards Rob has been unfailingly helpful, friendly and completely on top of everything however laid back he may appear. It's a beautiful wedding venue and the Chycara team make sure everything runs smoothly. Despite the heavy, intense rain throughout the day we received so many positive comments about the wedding venue that none of the guests mentioned the weather at all! Also, the accommodation in Willow Lodge was way beyond my expectations. Everything about the design, decor, furniture and supplies was excellent. I just wished I'd had a chance to relax and enjoy it all properly.

Stayed for 2 nights in the Shepards lodge, I stayed by myself while away on business. The lodge was very clean and had everything I required. Set in quiet grounds with a stream running next to the cabin, great for a quiet evening after work for me. I would highly recommend, I would also consider returning with my family if in the area again. I also visited one of the recommended pubs within the brochure which was also offered very nice food and service.
