Mahayana Tulum Beach Homes

The home, location, beach, staff, and amenities were all delightful. It was close enough to walk to the restaurants and clubs but far enough that you could sleep. The private pool was a terrific feature that we took full advantage of. We'll definitely return.

A few days spent in paradise. Perfect location, right on the beach. Lovely staff. If you need a transfer to and from the hotel, no problem. Everything will be organized. You can enjoy breakfast and lunch on site. For two people, I highly recommend the Casa Gaia apartment, simply amazing.

This place is nice and staff members are helpful and pleasant. It is nicely decorated. The rooms are spacious. The house is located in the shadow, so sunbathing by the private pool is not possible. Outdoor seating is for 3-4 people. Sofa group in «living room» is not comfy and is for 4 people. The place has aircondition on all floors, but it dosen’t work so well on the ground floor and top floor, as the house is too open, eg some windows without glass. Many insects outside and on the top floor. The private pool is nice, and so is the pool by the sea. It’s a short distance to the sea. It is located close to a very busy steet, and some noisy restaurants. The noice is worst by the pool and on the top floor as it has no isolation. We are a family of 4.

We spent a week at Casa de Las Palmas for my wedding, and it was such a magical time. I can't speak more highly of the on-site staff (Miriam in particular) and how accommodating they are. Mahayana is a very special, unique place which allows you to feel secluded while having all of the attractions of Tulum nearby. I highly recommend staying here.

As soon as you pass through the gate to Mahayana off the busy hotel zone road, you know you have entered a very special place, We were fortunate to have rented Casa Gaia which is situated only 50 to 60 steps from the sea and yet it is very private. You would be hard pressed to find a more relaxing and romantic spot. From the spectacular sunrises to the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep at night, this is an incredible oasis. The staff are second to none from pre-trip communications with Snow through to the welcome and helpfulness of Chabely & Miriam during our stay. Although we did not get to know their names, the security, groundskeepers and housekeepers are extremely attentive and friendly. We highly recommend taking advantage of the breakfast / taco stand on site where Chef Juan prepares delicious breakfasts and probably the best fish tacos we have ever eaten! All in all, a wonderful stay. We are already planning our next trip.!

We just came back from our trip to amazing Casa Bonita at Mahayana Villas and we already can’t wait to come back to this paradise on Earth Everything about this place is perfect. All the villas look simply stunning and the beach is so quiet even being in the center of Tulum Beach you feel isolated from the noise but the party feel is couple of steps to the left or to the right. The design of villa inside is unforgettable. We must mention the cleaning cervices are beyond great, we have witnessed the way the team prepares villas for new visitors and it was impressive. The last two days of our trip we stayed at Villa Zorba resort and were just as pleased with our stay. This was our 3rd visit to Zorba & Mahayana and we would not trust to stay at any other place while visiting Tulum. We would like to say thank you to all the management & staff of Zorba and Mahayana for creating this unique place where we can unwind and recharge 🙏

We stayed at Casa de las Palmas Villa at Mahayana Beach Homes. What a beautiful piece of paradise. The location is one of the best on Tulum beach. A peaceful area of the beach. This 4 bedroom villa is super luxury! Beautifully designed and decorated. Gorgeous local wood trim accents and softly curving chukum walls (a mayan wall treatment). The details in the bedrooms were perfect. Comfortable beds, nice linens, soaps and fresh flowers in each room. We all enjoyed hanging in the open concept living room/kitchen with a view of the ocean. What a perfect place to stay on a perfect beach paradise. Thank you for the stay!

Beautiful property, amazing beach access, secure, food hut on property yummy snacks with fresh juice daily-hosts were very helpful to meet all needs and questions. Hope to return next year with same group. Tulum met all our expectations and more.

My friend and I stayed in the treehouse for a friend's wedding in Tulum in February and we had the most magical experience. We both said on our travels back home, that we will definitely be coming back to Mahayana. Miriam & Chabely were amazing hosts and super helpful/patient in the process of check-in and throughout our time when we had any questions. Chabely came up to our treehouse on our first day there and was SO kind and chatted with my friend and I. She was so personal and was excited to hear about our wedding weekend plans. She gave us great recommendations for around Tulum (where to shop and where to get out pesos from an ATM too!) It was so lovely. In the treehouse, there aren't full/cement walls (real treehouse vibes!), so was definitely happy to have our mosquito net over the bed at night, but even on the hot days, we never felt overheated inside and it was always a cool respite to return to. They had an A/C unit and a fan that was plenty for us. There was also a kitchenette with two stove tops and a mini fridge which was plenty for what we needed. They also had a water purifier that was always full for us to drink out of. We had another group from the wedding also staying at Mahayana in one of the big houses, which we visited and it was GORGEOUS. We also had friends staying at their sister property, Zorba, which was right down the beach from us. Each day we would get back from our explorations and we would have fresh towels, our dishes put away, our bed made, and the sand swept from our floors. Every morning the staff would go down to the beach and rake the sand so it was free of seaweed/sticks/etc and it always was beautiful to sit there and watch the sunrise. Our beachfront was always so peaceful and felt far away from all of the hustle and bustle. On the windy day they sprayed down the sand so it didn't fly up in our eyes too! We were a 5 minute walk on the beach away from Alaya (where they had yoga classes every morning - for about 17 US$ - Highly recommend.) There were so many places within walking distance from our place (ice cream, tacos, drinks, jungle gym, etc) and it felt like the perfect location! Overall, an incredible stay, beautiful weather, and amazing staff. I would recommend this place to ANYONE looking for an incredible trip experience. We will definitely be back!
