As usual with low-rating review there is a story, so I'll start with it. We arrived late in evening and because i made a mistake with the booking we had a double room but booked for one person. both The receptionist and *********** were helpless as such major operation as adding a person to a room is too complicated for them. Long story short, it took almost an hour to get this sorted, before we could go to our room (which was double just the same). Very disappointing, will not come there again. Leaving the booking incident aside, it was very small rooms, not really clean, no shampoo - and for sure no a**osphere. The only point to give it two came with the breakfast that was really good and with large selection. If you just want to ski or hike, or cycle, maybe it is ok for you, but if you are searching for a little extra - forget about it. PS: this town is a good starting point to explore the timmelsjoch pass.

I chose to stay here because it was in the mountains and the surrounding area just looked gorgeous. The hotel staff were wonderful, professional, and courteous. Our room was clean, modern, and functional. We had our two small dogs with us, and they were welcome. There was plenty of grassy space for them to be walked right outside. The breakfast was very delicious and diverse. We loved that you could cook your own skillet! We will definitely be staying at another Explorer hotel in the future.

The style of this hotel is beautifully done and it works really well in this area. The rooms are spacious and they have a balcony with views of the mountains. Parking is free and there's additional parking in the garage below. Breakfast area seems a bit small for a hotel of this size and therefore it feels very crowded. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone!

Fälschlicherweise haben wir eine Fehlbuchung über Booking gemacht. Nach Telefonat mit dem Hotel und deren Zusage, wenn Booking der Stornierung zustimmt, würden sie ebenfalls einer Stornierung zustimmen, wurde unerwartet ein klares nein. Die finale Ironie war letztendlich ein Anschreiben, warum wir unseren Aufenthalt nicht angetreten haben. Wir sagen Danke für nichts. Nie wieder dieses Hotel.

Wir haben schon einmal in einem Explorer-Hotel (Hinterstoder) übernachtet, und die positiven Erfahrungen haben uns dazu bewogen, diese Hotelkette wieder zu wählen. Es ist einfach, das Auto rund um das Gebäude zu parken, das Gelände ist riesig. Auf Anfrage ist auch ein Tiefgaragenplatz verfügbar (8 EUR/Tag). Der Skiabstellraum ist sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet, es gibt sicherlich Platz für Skier und vor allem für Skischuhe. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner (beide Marke MIELE) im Skiraum, Sie können für 3 EUR waschen. Dies kann vor allem in den Sommermonaten nach dem Radfahren oder Wandern sehr nützlich sein. Der Wellnessbereich bietet die gewohnte Qualität, vielleicht war die Sauna niedrig temperiert (ca. 80-85 C Grad). Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und von sehr guter Qualität. Das Personal ist schnell dabei, benutzte Gläser und Teller wegzunehmen.
