I recently had the pleasure of spending a day out at Araliya Beach Resort with my wife, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff, setting the tone for a perfect day. The resort itself is a stunning paradise, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and immaculate facilities. The beach was pristine, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing day. We also enjoyed the resort’s amenities, including the pool and spa, which were top-notch and meticulously maintained. The dining experience was another highlight. The restaurant served a delectable array of dishes that catered to all tastes, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Overall, our day at Araliya Beach Resort was a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury, thanks in large part to the exceptional staff . We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable getaway

We stayed here for 10 nights and had a great experience. What a lovely little Hotel, with excellent staff, a special mention to Kevin and also Beauntie (sorry if spelt wrong )they saw to all our needs Kevin is a gem . All the staff were great, always smiling and happy to say hello when they met you daily. The guy that seen to the beach beds was great. also he always managed to find you a great spot on the beach. Not forgetting the guy that seen to my pre-bed cocktails each night. We had a superior room looking out towards the beach on the ground floor. It was lovely . Any small Repairs that had to be seen to there was no wait involved. After reporting the issues to reception , the lady on reception was very helpful and accommodating. We particularly enjoyed barbecue night which was on a Friday. The food was amazing. Breakfast was also good too You would never leave hungry. The seafood was lovely also. You could use the pool at the other hotel just ask reception and they will send a buggy for you. It will take you there and back free. The only downsides I would mention is the taxi that took us to the airport the driver was falling asleep and had to stop to get a wash and a coffee we had still an hour and a half to go he just left us sitting in the car but this was not the hotels fault, it was scary as he was texting and eating and was all over the road when he continued, not the fault of the hotel . Also, the loud music from the hotels on each side of ours was horrendous so loud. This was out of our hotels control. Unfortunately one morning it went on till 4.30am the morning mostly 2 am at the earliest once again, not our hotels fault . The only other problem we had was the security guard nightwatchman asked us for money on several occasions, we tipped most of the staff but never gave him anything as it’s not good to ask. Sri Lanka is a lovely place and the Hotel we stayed in was amazing in every way , it’s just a shame that the area has been taken over by a lot of tourists from one county in particular 80-90% which is such a shame hardly anyone from the UK .

A little gem of a hotel, close to Unawatuna and Galle and within walking distance of Jungle Beach. Super-friendly staff always greeting you with a smile, large rooms, cosy pool area with sun beds in the shade. Lovely breakfast and good dinners. Only minus was long waiting times at dinner - maybe time for a smaller menu? We’ll definitely recommend this hotel!

It's hard to know where to start with this review. From the moment we booked the general manager sent me a personalised message. We arrived greeted by a refreshing cold towel and a tour of this beautiful hotel. We booked the grand suite for 8 nights and 9n entering it exceeded my expectations. The room is huge tastefully decorated spotlessly clean. The bathroom is beautiful and there is even a small kitchen area. The veranda overlooking the pool was a gret place to have our morning coffee. The grounds make you feel like you are in a tropical rain forest and the pool and separate jacuzzi are lovely. Breakfast was a delight and they adapted every morning to our tastes. All of the staff are amazing and friendly. And the general manager is so lovely greeting us personally every morning asking about our stay and if there is anything they can do for us. All the staff were a credit to this beautiful place. Ps the private beach is stunning feels like your on a tropical island. I wish our stay was not ending tomorrow. Would not hesitate to come back. Great hotel it’s a little oasis. Newly decorated and extremely clean. Staff cannot do enough to help you. Food excellent in the restaurant. Asok is always there to recommend a dish, along with the chef who will cook whatever you ask for. The resort is up a little side street. You would miss the retreat if you didn’t look carefully. Pretty and green with beautifuflowers in the garden, a small refreshing clean pool. The beach is nearby and so are the restaurants. Beach has great waves! There were lots of people on the beach when we arrived! The beach is nice but not wow. We enjoy it though! Unawatuna definitely has the vibes, lovely boutique hotels, nice food and a nice beach. Also lots smiley faces and Yes we would come back! Beautiful Sri Lanka and its people. Loved it!

Wonderful place with a lush garden in Unawatuna area in the main tourist road. They let us for an early checkin so we didn’t have to wait in the lobby area. Room was spacious with modern furniture and included a minibar. Air conditioner worked perfectly. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was spacious. Hot water worked perfectly. Modern fixtures too. Green villa was close to all the main attractions. Highly recommended for a calm, quiet, comfortable stay in Unawatuna area.

Basic budget hotel with a great pool and lovely staff! Rooms were spacious and clean with a balcony, desk & chair, TV with local channels, air con and a ceiling fan. Although housekeeping is available, and I believe there is supposed to be a card to put on the door, we never had one and despite mentioning this on several occasions we were never given one and had to constantly ask for housekeeping, fresh towels etc when needed. The pool is fantastic, I was in this every day of our stay and towels for the pool are available and although there is a space for them they're rarely at the side of the pool, so you need to go ask for them too! There is a toilet at the side of the pool and a shower to rinse off before/after a swim. Breakfast if not included, was available until 11:00 am (if I remember correctly) and was ~1,500 LKR. Service can be a little slow, one morning I waited 40 minutes and no-one took my breakfast order, they'd just walk past me, so I ended up going into the reception and asking for that too, service is a hit and a miss, sometimes people are buzzing round you and other times they don't come near! My husband became unwell during our stay and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, absolutely commend them for that - thank you so much. There is a supermarket across the road, restaurants etc are ~1.5km away, tuk tuks are always outside, don't let them overcharge you - haggle!!! ~500-600 to Ceylon Spa and ~800 if you're going further down to the bigger hotels/restaurants. We stayed here for 8 nights as a stop gap due to a change in our plans, and we enjoyed our stay.

Loved the architecture of the place and its attitude towards the environment. The hotel is also in very close proximity to the Unawatuna beach and has many restaurants and boutiques around it. By the ingenuity of design the hotel makes a hidden paradise in the middle of the city. Rooms are well appointed and are very peaceful compared to most Unawatuna hotels. We had breakfast from the hotel which was fresh and delicious. Ideal base for Unawatuna! ***an is a great host and runs the place beautifully.
