The room had an extremely strong cheap motel disinfectant smell. I could not sleep. While the (King) bed was absolutely marvelous. Due to the strong smell, we opened the door of the garden site for fresh air. It was 7 degrees outside. There was an extra blanket, for a single bed. You understand that we missed a bit of sleep. And I sent you a photo from the wardrobe, and the surrounding decoration, which was quite a joke. The single extra blanket on a king bed is not effective. The room had only one chair, so I put a garden chair in the room. The shower and the bed were the best things in this apartment, and that's all. The reception area needs urgently new furniture. Warn out unclean chairs. The management of this Ramada Franchise should get their act together! Thank you!

We stayed 3 nights in the penthouse room 22. Stunning views from the massive balcony! Air con worked perfectly, the apartment had everything you could need. Check in and check was a breeze however reception does close rather early (4:30pm) for a resort. While I have given this 5 stars, the resort does need a little TLC. There seems to have been a lot of water damage in the hallway outside the apartment and a large hole was in the roof. The roof on the balcony also seems to have been water damaged. Neither of these things made a difference to our experience. We look forward to returning.

The hotel was amazing as per usual, however the new staff member had no idea about the facilities and what each room had in them. We had a heap of microwave items we disposed of , just to find there was a microwave after being told there definitely wasn’t one. Maybe the staff need to look in the rooms every once and a while .

Another great stay at The Oaks. The realty wonderful clean , modern facilities easily make up for the current work on the pool. Not to mention the incredible ocean views and staff doing all they can to make your stay wonderful. I have never had a bad experience at the Oaks . We’ll be back in the new year. Great 2 bedroom unit stay for our family of 2A and 2c. Shared bathroom including toilet in between rooms and ensuiting to the main. Shower head is fixed fairly low on the wall, so not ideal for tall people, water pressure however was great! Extremely comfortable bedding, best sleep in ages! Lounge was well equipped with large tv and comfortable recliners. Kitchen was well equipped and in room laundry was handy. Spare lounge/sofabed room was great for storing luggage. Large pool that had a crisp temperature for a hot day.. Bbqs close to the pool area for use. Undercover dedicated room parking close to room allocation. Secure entry to resort with room key fob. Fairly quiet resort considering it was school holidays, short walk to the boat club precinct. Would stay again.

We booked a one night stay (room 36, 2 bed apartment). Firstly the positives. - the beds were clean and comfy - the layout of the accommodation was great. Lots of outside space, and integral garage - the bathrooms had been cleaned - good fridge freezer The smell hit is as soon as we entered the property. It was overbearing, and was coming from several sources. The carpets appear to not have been cleaned since they were put in. So possibly decades. They were stained, smelly, The kitchen drawers and cupboards smelled dreadful. Looked like there had been flood or water damage at some point, and nothing replaced. In the kitchen there was brown liquid leaking from the dishwasher. I wiped this up, but it soon returned. Food spilled down the inside of cupboard under microwave There was a random sofa covered with a throw on the landing. On closer inspection under the throw, (this was another source of the smell). It looked a lot like somebody had been sick on it and it wiped over and left. And then covered with a throw so we wouldn’t notice. We actually slept in the second bedroom as the smell was least offensive there. Years of use, dogs, spillages, not dealt with. I have honestly seem cleaner farm yards. Room 36 should not be used again until a full refurb has happened. If anybody reading this thinks I am a moany reviewer, read my other reviews and you will see thats not the case.

Parking right outside the rooms and a very friendly and helpful receptionist. The fan and AC in the room worked well and weren't too noisy. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and shaving cream provided.
