Ryethøjgård Bed & Breakfast

This place is in an old farmhouse complete with thatched roof. Inside it is thoroughly modernized with taste and all the modern comforts. The hostess is gracious and helpful, the rooms are well appointed, and there are plenty of communal spaces, including a kitchen where guests can make their meals and in general make themselves comfortable. A breakfast buffet is also available, but not included in the room price. The breakfast includes , ciders, honeys and preserves all homemade from Ryethoejgaard's fruittrees and bees. If you enjoy hiking in unspoilt nature you'll find well marked hiking trails right outside the door. They'll take you along meadows into old growth forrests, and if you wish, to nearby towns with little cafees . While the B&B is located in the countryside there is a train station close by in Vaerloese that will take you to the center of Copenhagen in about 25-30 min. By car the driving time depends on the time of day, but outside of rush hour it is about 20 min. There is no doubt that my husband and I will be staying here whenever we visit Denmark.
