I recently stayed at Hotel Varuna in Varanasi and unfortunately my experience was not up to the mark. Being a frequent flyer, my expectations with the hotel were little high but the services provided by hotel were not up to the mark. The review is specially for the staff who was the receptionist at the hotel named Mr. Chandraket Kumar Singh who had an extremely rude behaviour and zero sense of how the hospitality should be provided to their guests. Rooms were not ready and checkin was delayed by an hour. I had booked 2 executive rooms in the new wing, however, the rooms shown in the pictures on website are completely opposite of what they provide. As somebody who values good hospitality, I would not like to recommend this property to the people who are thinking to stay here. We can get much better hotels with better amenities in the same price. I would not even like to rate 1 out of 10 to Hotel Varuna. I hope the management would take an action for such pathetic services and hospitality being provided by the staff. Also, I would like the management to take a strict action against Mr. CHANDRAKET KUMAR SINGH, the receptionist. Being a female I felt really awkward and unsafe while talking to him.
