Fantastic hotel and staff, I want to mention: Praveen, the general manager, made the time to come and speak to us , very professional! Suralal, Adarsh and Deepu, the front office team, what can we say, these 3 were amazing, helpful, nothing was too much trouble...and kept in supply if many cups of coffee! Vishnu, Kavitha and Prashant, the housekeeping team, excellent service, room was spotless every day, and the towel art was fantastic, Lovely surprises! Sunil, the chef...it was like having our own private chef, the dishes he cooked for us were out of this world, the flavours were amazing something deliciously different every day! And thanks to Ambili and Kishnar Kutty, the kitchen team, their help with the dishes and the service they gave was impeccable. Thanks to Raju (day) and Mohan (night), the guards, very attentive and always a wave and a big smile. Finally Kilson and Anil, the maintenance team, always on hand to help with any problems. Thank you all, you should all be so proud of yourselves, the hotels reputation only has you all to thank.

What can we say to add to the last review: it is everything mentioned there, and more. I think the word “charm” sums up Sajjoys perfectly from the decor and size of the hotel to the team who helped to make us so welcome and feel at home - the perfect blend of efficiency and friendliness. The food was extremely good, prepared by a chef who certainly knows how to cook Indian and fusion food. The Ayavedic treatment on offer was superb and run by Dr Divya, a doctor of Ayaveda, who most certainly knows how to help solve health issues. Thank you to Pravi and all your wonderful team: so sad to say goodbye, but, hopefully, see you all again.

Great Location, Best Hospitality Soj joys is wonderfully located at just stone throw away from north cliff. In fact it’s the only full fledged upscale hotel with amenities that close to the beach. In evenings traffic is blocked for cars from the main road into the road leading to cliff hence it was absolutely convenient to have a hotel that close to the beach. Rooms are large, and very aesthetically decorated with paintings, pool is decent size for a quick splash in the water. Rooms, Hotel premises, Bathrooms, Showers, everything is very clean and nicely maintained. 5/5 on location and cleanliness Staff is absolutely welcoming, giving personal attention, greeting with a smile always. Food is absolutely delicious, best we had in our 10 day Kerala trip. Though spread is limited in breakdown, you have everything needed for a hearty meal, nuts, cereals, fresh juices, fruits, yogurts, smoothies and traditional Indian dishes were mouth watering. Hats off to their in house chefs for such delicious homely meals. Food 5/5 Staff 5/5 Will definitely stay here next time we’re in Varkala.

Absolutely stunning place to stay close to the cliffs where all the restaurants are located. The staff are simply stunning from the managers through to the front staff, the lady in particular, as well as the waiters, the pool *** and the security guy. Nothing was a problem and so we spent 5 outstanding nights there. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this quality hotel. Many thanks Sajjoy

We had a stay for 2 nights in the hotel in Dec'24. Overall, we felt that there were small things that were either not taken care of or were an inconvenience for us maybe due to luck that made our stay not that amazing. 1. Noisy room—The room we were given was so close to the main road that until late, one could hear vehicular and other noises, causing disturbances to sleep. The room also overlooked the reception area since the middle part of the floor was hollow. This caused more noise to reach the room from guests checking out. 2. Housekeeping issues - The room was not cleaned by Housekeeping despite firm instructions given by us while stepping out. 3. TV - While watching TV was not the main goal of the stay, dealing with a horrible TV with an even more horrible remote is the last thing you need when trying to relax after a tiring day out. It would be unfair if we only called out the problems without mentioning the Good part about the property - 1. Well-behaved staff 2. Proximity to the beach and cliff road 3. Good food We think that the property has good potential to be among the 1st choice for visitors to Varkala if they can focus more on some of the above-mentioned points

This hotel should be avoided. Unresponsive to requests and repeatedly ignores guest queries. Hotel appears happy to accept payments on false premise in advance but does not provide a decent service. Unhelpful and poor customer service.
