I give it a 5/5!
It’s a great value for me , the location is super convenient , many bus / tram lines and U4 are in short walking distance.
The bed is comfortable, there’s a mini bar . The room is not very big but quite practical and quiet.
The room service isn’t so good tho, they didn’t change the towels , didn’t even clean the floor .
The breakfast is unbelievably simple - only bread and drinks , but what can you expect for for the fair-able room rate you paid for right ?
I’d def stay again.

The hotel is centrally located, very close to the subway station, but on a quiet street, which ensures a peaceful stay. Additionally, it has the advantage of being right across from a police station, which adds a sense of security. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable, and the bathroom is quite spacious. However, the service was extremely disappointing! During 4 nights (5 days), the towels were changed only once! And when they did, they left the used towels in the room, mixing the dirty ones with the new ones. We ended up with a pile of towels, with no organization at all. The breakfast was another huge letdown, especially for a 3-star hotel. The replenishment was almost absent, the only milk was always cold, and only instant coffee was available. When I asked for an expresso from the coffee machine, not only did I have to pay, but the receptionist simply nodded and completely ignored my request. As for the food, only 3 mini croissants and 3 mini paninis were available for all the guests! It was really frustrating, considering the price of the stay and the hotel's star rating. In summary, the value for money was not worth it. I expected much more, especially considering it's a 3-star hotel. The location is great, but the service falls far short.

Was very impressed with a nice spacious bedroom, although noisy at night (despite having a top floor room, the streetworks and other guests were sometimes loud at night - not hotel's fault). Also the upper floors are VERY hot (on hot days) and a/c doesn't work. Breakfast was basic but nice and all staff friendly & helpful. Overall satisfied with stay.

Words can't describe this hidden gem of a hotel. Initially drawn in by its affordable price, I never imagined finding such an ideal accommodation that perfectly catered to my needs and preferences. As a wheelchair user, the building was completely accessible, with an alternative entrance to bypass the three steps at the main entrance, cleverly designed ground floor rooms, and a glass external lift to access other floors. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (kudos to Lorenzo), the lobby had nice decor, and a small yet thoughtful patio was provided for smokers. Bus lines were conveniently located next to the hotel, with a metro station just around the corner (just a stone's throw away from top sights). Overall, it was a perfect choice offering top-notch quality at a reasonable price, one that I would eagerly revisit and recommend to others! Bravo!

Good location and nice staff. Other than that, rooms are not comfortable, over used mattresses, (too) flat pillows, noisy rooms, no isolation. When someone smokes, everyone gets the smell, including late at night. We would not recommend.

Summary: not ideal location and hot rooms Stayed here one night on a quick, first time trip to Vienna. The hotel was simple and clean, but not very close to the main sights in Vienna - about 25 mins walk each way. To top it off, the rooms have no air conditioning available (similar to many, but not all European hotels). I stayed on the upper floor and it was a sauna there. There was an HVAC unit in the room, but it only pushed out warm air. There was also a small portable fan provided but it barely did anything. Between the fan and opening the windows, it was only barely passable to sleep in - one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays in recent memory. The room was large and had no issues with the bathroom or shower. But the downsides were overwhelming and would not recommend staying in this hotel, especially not as a first time visitor to Vienna.

I only have nice things to say about this hotel. The location is nice, a bit far from the center though you can get there in a walking distance (15/20m). The staff is very friendly and comunicate very well with the clients. The hotel it's located in a residential area with some small pubs and cafés nearby. The rooms are big and spacy.

Hello, I feel deeply saddened and gas lighted, I've wasted an inordinate amount of time chasing a refund that was promised to me by multiple Safestay locations due to a severe personal hardship. If the refund policy is no refunds are allowable, that would be understandable, but I've been false promised refunds so I continue to follow-up wasting time. In my opinion this is highly troubling and immoral, not "Safe". I hope other hotels don't treat people going through such severe hardships in this confusing time wasting manner. Here's my story: I was supposed to stay at the Vienna Location June 29th - July 4th. Sadly my wife and friends fell very ill with COVID-19 and we were unable to stay. I spoke to the hotel during this time to inform them of this situation and was assured everything would be okay and I'd receive a refund after submitting some medical documentation. Consequently I spent quite a bit of effort obtaining COVID certificates, dr. notes and a marriage certificate; I sent all this documentation to the Wien location via email. After many days days of no response, I followed up on the phone and in person where I was again assured they would process the refund in a few days through the London office. After weeks of not receiving the refund I would visit or call periodically to follow-up, it was very difficult to reach the manager, but when I did speak with her in person she would continue to assure me it would be okay. Many times though she was not available, only there after 3pm on certain days or was on vacation so I had to visit the hotel maybe 5 or so times to reach her in person (many times I was told come back on this day at this time, she's not hear right nownow), attempts at email correspondence were unsuccessful, and on receptionist at the front desk couldn't easily connect me to her on the phone and spoke very poor English. Nearly two months later without a refund I decided to try speaking to the Berlin manager since nothing was happening regarding the refund, and thought maybe English was too challenging for the Vienna staff to handle, not to mention I was told the manager was now in Berlin for some reason? In early August I explained the situation in Vienna to the Berlin manager and she apologized stating a refund would be initiated around August 11 2022 for my Vienna stay. As of August 23rd this never happened. I called Berlin again today and was told by this manager that she could not help me, and then over email an hour later with management said we never spoke before despite having a detailed conversation this morning. Poor and really bad mattress. There was a lot of time I have seen a mattress bad like this. For the rest just average: calm room and not bad desktop. For a little more money you will have better options. Not really far from the center. Reeealy poor breakfast

I'll admit that I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the word "hostel", but Safestay is so much more than a typical hostel! The property is a modern, stylish hotel, perfectly located in Vienna and accessible to tourists of every budget. The room was extremely comfortable, with windows that opened to the inner atrium. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The complementary breakfast was a nice perk as well. The location is conveniently near a metro stop and close to most tourist sites around Vienna. Safestay Vienna exceeded my expectations in every way, and I will definitely consider staying at other Safestay locations in the future.

Die Lage des Safestay und die veröffentlichten Bilder, wie auch Teile der Rezensionen waren die Motivation für die Buchung. Tatsächlich überzeugt die Lage. Die U-Bahn-Station, als auch der Karlsplatz selbst sind wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Klasse. Der Check-In war sehr holprig. Das Personal, also niemand den ich angetroffen habe spricht Deutsch (sehr eigenartig in der Österreichischen Hauptstadt...einem Land in dem Deutsch Amtssprache ist. Aber nicht einmal Englisch wird teilweise ausreichend gut gesprochen. Ansonsten ruppig, einsilbig und tendenziell unfreundlich. Das Zimmer selbst ist recht klein und massiv abgewohnt. Die Handtücher werden auf dem Bett abgelegt. Warum? Die gehören ins Badezimmer. Sehr dünne Fähnchen, die schon einige Jahre auf dem Buckel haben. Das Boxspringbett ist nur ein halbes. Die völlig durchgelegene Matratze, durch die man jede Feder spürt, ist auf einem profanen Holzkasten aufgelegt. Das ist nicht die Idee des Boxspringbettes. Entsprechend schlecht ist der Liegekomfort. Die Fliesen im Bad angeschimmelt, der Spender des Duschbads defekt, die Toilettenbürste offenbar durch eine wesentlich kürzere Ersatzbürste ausgetauscht. Das Zimmer wird nur alle drei Tage gereinigt bzw. die Betten gemacht. Alles natürlich ohne vorherige Ankündigung bei der Anreise. Zudem ist das Haus sehr hellhörig. Viele, laute Geräusche, die schwer zuzuordnen sind (Renovierungslärm?). Das stört neben dem mangelhaften Bett die Erholung. Insgesamt ein enttäuschendes, schlechtes Hotelerlebnis ohne jede Leidenschaft für den Gast. Hier will man schnell Geld verdienen. In den vielen Jahren, die ich nun Wien besuche, aber auch in den vielen Jahren, die ich auch geschäftlich international reise, habe ich selten ein Haus erlebt, die dem der Gast so wenig wertgeschätzt wird. Keine Weiterempfehlung: Keine Gastlichkeit, keine Qualität und dafür zu teuer. Ich würde dieses Hotel meiden und werde sicherlich kein anderes Haus dieser Kette besuchen.

Ho soggiornato quattro notti con una scolaresca di venti persone. Camere pulite e confortevoli e personale disponibile ed accogliente. Colazione abbondante e di qualità. Zona tranquilla e ottima la posizione.

Tolles Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis. Zu Fuß kann man von da auch alles sehr gut erreichen. In unserem Zimmer ist der Fön kaput gewesen und da es keinen Ersatzfön gab, wurde uns direkt angeboten das Zimmer zu tauschen. Sehr zuvorkommend. Zimmer sind groß und geräumig. Einzige was nervt, sind die Tauben im Innenhof
