ROBINSON QUINTA DA RIA - All Inclusive

We are just nearing the end of our 10 day stay here, we have had a wonderful holiday, yes its 90% german citizens here and TUI should probably make that clearer when booking but part of me is glad they didnt as it may have made me book somewhere else, i have attended fitness classes in german but the staff made every effort to explain things to me in english and i enjoyed them just as much, my husband joined the tennis tournament and he had a great time, the german people he played with all spoke good english and they were laughing and joking together, my kids made some good friends too. The silent disco was wondeful having 3 channels on the headset, german, english and house music, it was so much fun. The bands and robins singers in the evening have been great. I havent struggled to get a table in the evening, in fact we have got the same table every night and our waiters have been wonderful. The food is world class and fresh. I was dubious about coming all inclusive as we normally go on villa holidays, but we have had the best time and wish we could stay longer. This is definately a 5 star resort, if you are booking just go with the flow their isnt really a language barrrier if you just put in the effort to speak to people. We are regular visitors to Robinson Quinta Da Ria, but wanted to review especially the wonderful Hot Stone dining experience we tried on 30th January. Igor & Marta with their chef team were fantastic. We had a lovely evening. The menu was varied and interesting, food was at a very high standard. It was a lovely touch for the team to come into the restaurant to thank us for coming and to toast the successful evening. We felt we were joining friends in their home dining room. Loved it and will be back again before returning home. If you stay at Robinson’s you really must try this one evening, highly recommended.

Our family of three spent a lovely 2 weeks at this hotel at the beginning of June. Facilities were spotlessly clean, food was great, little baby pool was useful (although very cold) and the staff were friendly. As others have mentioned, this is a German resort, therefore everything is catered towards this. Most of the staff could speak good English, but we did struggle with the language barrier a couple of times. We found this hotel good for our 18 month old as it had a nice pool and kids club where we could use the facilities (books, huge sand pit, drawing etc). The hotel also provided a baby package in our room free of charge which was a nice touch. This included a small bath, bottle warmer and changing mat. Major downside was the dinner meal time (7:30pm) and huge rush to get a table to ourselves when dinner opened. We found this really stressful and it was clear that people did not want to sit on a shared table. With a baby, we felt very awkward having to intrude on other people’s dinners. It is also very late for children to eat. We tried the early child meal (5:30pm), but this was successful as it meant that our baby had to sit through our mealtime afterwards. It would have been much easier if we could have all eaten at the earlier time. Other families faced the same issue - management please consider moving dinner slightly earlier for families. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I wouldn’t return with older children. I feel they would find it hard to utilise a kids club where everyone else is speaking German. P.S - we stayed in room 121 which was great. Ground floor which was good for the pram and on a corner south/ west facing looking onto golf course.

Had a amazing holiday here with my husband and my dad. The hotel is flat so was no problem for my dad who has mobility issues. From start to finish the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms had everything needed, air con, fridge, safe, coffee machine. The pool area was lovely, a large pool and lots of sunbeds, there wasn't any rush to get one in the morning as there were plenty, lots of trees if you want some shade or plenty of room to move the sunbeds around. My husband played a round of golf and thoroughly enjoyed it, Great that it was walking distance to the golf club. I enjoyed a relaxing facial in the wellness centre which was amazing, would definately recommend. The food was delicious, lots of variety. I do agree with other guests that more 2 and 4 seated tables would be helpful as not everyone wants to eat with a group of people they dont know. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a great mix of Portuguese, German and English guests too. The evening entertainment was great, varied, we went to 2 shows in the theatre and enjoyed the live music outside. We enjoyed the shuttle to the beach bar. we also had a run out to Tavera , a lovely town only 10 mins away. Cant fault anything really, would definately come back.

When we first arrived at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and introduced themselves and gave us some water. Very polite and professional. We did have to wait around for about 15 minutes or so just in the outside bit before we were taken inside to the check in area and could actually check in but this was not too bad but it would have been helpful if the staff could have explained why we were waiting as we weren’t quite sure what was going on and why we weren’t being taken through. However, once in to the check in area the staff were all great and explained all about the hotel and facilities and where we could find everything and seemed genuinely friendly and happy in their jobs and genuinely happy to help which was something we really noticed and appreciated about the staff at this hotel. It is an all inclusive hotel and the experience really is all inclusive and everything from the food to the activities they provide is included. The food was of excellent quality and a really great variety every evening, we enjoyed the different theme nights they had and the street food market was exceptional and such a great vibe. We really had fun that evening. The theatre shows were lovely and you get to see all of the wonderful staff from around the hotel performing at these shows which was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed rock and ria and also the live music evening out by the pool. Overall this hotel provides brilliant evening entertainment and it’s something different each night. As well as all of this, there are lots of fitness activities you can join in with I really liked the aqua fit in the outdoor pool and the yoga/ pilates classes early in the morning. They also had an indoor pool and spa. Segways to hire, and lots of other brilliant activities taking place throughout the hotel. One thing is for certain, you will never get bored at this hotel. My husband and I had a lovely couples massage which was relaxing and overall a great treatment. The weather was very hot and so we didn’t stay for the indoor pool but went straight out back to the outdoor pools. The outdoor pool is wonderful and very big lots of space for everyone and some seating areas as well as a waterfall area which was so refreshing. There are also specific kids pool areas which were shallow and undercover from the heat which was nice for my friend and her baby. The day cabanas are extra and you can book them on the app. There are only a few so try to book them as soon as you can. My husband and I and our friends both did this one day and it was well worth the money as the sun was particularly strong that day and so we had the option to close the curtains from the side that the sun was strongest. The general seating area by the pool is also fantastic as there are plenty of beds and you can usually find one either in the shade or in the sun depending on your preference. Our room was absolutely lovely, extremely clean and spacious- with a hot tub which we unfortunately

This was our second family holiday to this amazing hotel. We booked a junior suite and it was extremely comfortable and spacious. The customer service from our arrival to departure was excellent. There are holidaymakers from Spain, Portugal, France, England and Germany, but everyone was pleasant and even the football banter was enjoyable. The food choice & auality is the best we’ve found in an AI hotel. However it is worth a taxi ride into Tavira for an evening meal and great atmosphere. A walk or train ride to Fabrica and Robinson boat ride to the sand dunes, beach and stunning sea is a must. We didn’t experience any language barriers. If you can’t cope with other nationalities holiday in England! We will be looking at other Robinson hotels for 2025.
