Reservei a nossa estadia na Quinta das Varandas, em Vila Nova de Milfontes, através da plataforma Booking. As duas características que mais nos moveram a efectuar esta reserva foi a varanda no quarto (que é publicitada, inclusive, através das fotografias durante o processo de reserva) e a entrada privada para o alojamento. Nenhuma das duas foi verdade e a vossa publicidade é falsa. Quando chegámos a funcionária da recepção disse-nos que o único quarto disponível era no rés do chão, junto à recepção. O quarto não tinha varanda, a entrada era feita pela porta da recepção (como a de todos os quartos desse edifício) e o isolamento sonoro era tão mau que se ouvia tudo (por exemplo, entrada e saída de hóspedes, atendimento na recepção, etc.). A recepcionista deu-nos a oportunidade de mudarmos para um quarto com varanda (ainda assim, sem entrada privada) na nossa última noite. Declinámos a sugestão por considerarmos que o trabalho que envolvia mudar tudo para dois andares acima sem elevador não valeria a pena pelo pouco tempo de usufruto que teríamos do espaço.

We came here for 3 nights before heading to Cascais for a further 3 nights last week. The Hotel is perfectly situated next to beautiful beaches, minutes from the old town, walks etc. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly and overall the hotel is clean. Breakfast buffet is generous, if you can get a table on the outside veranda do as the view is fantastic. In the Evening the buffet /dinner appears to be very popular and good value at €22 approximately. You can also avail of a complimentary glass of wine . However , I feel it is worth pointing out some issues that could and should be addressed by the hotel to raise its standards and reputation that it deserves due to its location. 1-No glasses in the rooms . Why not? even for toothbrushes etc. 2-No hooks on the bathroom door for wet towels . 3-No towels by the poolside .This is standard in all hotels. 4-The beds / mattress's are very hardened uncomfortable ! 5-A daily charge of €2.50 for use of the safe. I have never come across this before. I travel extensively worldwide with my work, staying an average of between 30-50 hotels per year. This should be included, for the safekeeping of guests .Considering the room rates are not exactly bargains. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the HS Milfontes. I feel there are issues and shortcomings that could be very easily addressed by the owners/Management without breaking the bank in expenditure. Hopefully we will be back again in the near future with a sea view room ,albeit with a more comfortable bed !!

Perfect spot for our womens hiking group. Maria took such great care of us, recommending restaurants, providing directions, taking care of our gear. We enjoyed our fresh tuna salad sandwich lunches she made for our long hiking days, complete with homemade cake we got to smell baking while resting in the late afternoon. How do you solve a problem like Maria? She helped a member of our group who felt ill find a clinic on a national holiday. Hope to return. Clean, well located, warm a**osphere.

Abbiamo approfittato della pompa di calore per scaldarci dopo la prima giornata di trekking sotto la pioggia e di asciugare gli indumenti Ambiente semplice ma silenzioso
