The Arrival We were met at the baggage claim by a happy-looking guy holding up a sign that said ”Crimson” and were directed to the van, which took us to the boat terminal. There was a private waiting area inside the terminal, where we waited about 20 minutes for the boat. The boat ride took about 15 mins, going to the far side of the island, instead of the dock directly across the water. We were pleasantly surprised by a beautiful rock formation we’d never known was there, since in all the times going to Boracay, we had never seen that part of the island. From there, we rode a van to the resort, which was about a 10-minute ride. Staff was very pleasant, and all around a good pick-up experience.   Checking in We were welcomed with a glass of dalandan (citrus fruit) flavored iced tea. It was a quick check-in, and we were happy to know that our hotel room was ready right away. We were escorted to our room.   The Suite Our room was amazing! We came to Boracay to celebrate our son’s birthday. When we entered the room, they surprised us with a “Happy Birthday” sign on the bed as well as on the TV screen. There was also a cake and cookies which the kids loved. We booked a 1-bedroom suite with a plunge pool. For reference, we are a family of 5, and the kids' ages ranged from toddler to preteen. The room was spacious enough for all of us and very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. For someone who has spine issues, I slept well. The bathroom had all the toiletries you would need, from the loofa to bubble bath. Shower water pressure matters to us 😅, and it didn't disappoint. Also, there was also a crimson tote and a beach sombrero. They were very thoughtful with what they chose to provide for guests.   The Restaurants   Saffron cafe - Our booking included breakfast, which was buffet-style. There was a wide selection of food, including continental and Filipino breakfast, a carving station, omelette station, bread and pastries, and dim sum and noodle stations. Some Mediterranean, Japanese, and Korean dishes too. The servers were all so friendly and accommodating, always happy to serve. Mosaic - Latin American grill The first thing that struck me was the beautiful interior design. For appetizers, we ordered the octopus, Caesar salad with anchovies, and the salmon tiradito as appetizers. The octopus paired very well with beets which was unexpected; Caesar salad, you can never go wrong with, while the salmon was just ok. For the main course, we ordered The Tomahawk steak and the cod which were excellent. They served the steak with different choices of salt and sauces, which elevated the flavor and the presentation of the food, and all of them were good. By the way, all restaurants in the resort had a kids' menu, which came with a drink, main entree, and dessert. Do yourself a favor and order their Tres Leches 👌 Azure Beach Club - so accommodating, and the food was great! We entered the restaurant wet from the rain, and they were happy to sit us

What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional staff—kind, accommodating, and always ready to assist. Despite its luxurious VIP vibe, the pricing is surprisingly reasonable, making it a fantastic option for those on a mid-range budget. Highly recommended for travelers who want a serene, nature-filled experience without breaking the bank. Perfect for couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind in comfort.

Perfect place. My last paradise. Everything is perfect; foods, rooms, amenities, pools, beach, program, staff, weather, services and etc. Love it love it love it

The place itself is nice and clean their staff are super friendly and quick to respond - very accommodating. But - If you are thinking of bringing a Senior / elderly family , it is not ADA recommended ( I’m an Occupational Therapist by profession) . Their ramp to get in and out of the restaurant and main building is not ADA recommended. Steps have no rails. The nearest entrance or alley to get to the resort is steep and rocky. Also , on our last day , I have placed a thank you note , a tip ( not a big amount) and left their complimentary red wine to the housekeeper , I placed everything on the table including the room key . Even my companions remembered seeing the key on the table. When I checked out they said they could not find it and I was charged 500 pesos for the room key. I know it’s their policy, but it’s absurd specially for people like me who booked this place online and paid 1,200 US dollars for 4 nights and still got charged for a room key that they can always replace (it’s a card key and not an actual key) .

I lost my key card on the 1st day. Only discovered when I arrived at my room and I was able to open the door because I missed to lock it properly. I explained that my room is open however I lost the key. The personnel thought that I was saying that the door lock is not functioning. He then aggressively proved to me that the door lock is fine by using the master key. He was almost shouting. I was like why? I am reaching out for help to give me another key because I know I will pay for it anyway. I then asked him what’s the solution because I am having asthma and traveling back to the white beach and searching for it is impossible for me. I just wish that they resolve things politely without blaming me. I know and I have paid 500 for it but never gave me a replacement key for use. I had to call the front desk every time for help.

The best vacation I've had in awhile. Every day, my husband and I would make it a point to watch the sunset from the resort's beachfront. After going for a swim, the attentive butlers would be ready with cold pandan water for us. Throughout our stay, little things like taho and arroz caldo during breakfast and kakanin for turndown service made balikbayans like us feel truly at home. There are so many luxury stays around the world but what truly separates Discovery apart is the genuine warmth of their Filipino staff. Can't wait to come back!

Stayed for 2 months. Had a great stay here at their large condo. Staff were very friendly and accomodating (Ja, Onyok, etc.) , condo was clean, pool well-maintained, environment inside the resort is quiet and relaxing, lots of plants, breathing space. Also has generator and wifi for those who are going on workation. Area is safe. Location is good, 5 minutes to White Beach, near D'Mall, Watson's, Jollibee. Wifi is sometimes spotty, so best to bring your own pocket wifi if wifi is a necessity. Bonus, Valentine the resort cat is one of my favorites. Highly recommended, will stay again for sure. Cheers!

I stayed 10 days, 7 days in one of the downstairs rooms and 3 days upstairs. Overall I was very happy with the hotel, the rooms are a little dated but clean and large. The staff are all super friendly and you are a couple of minutes walk from the beach, the restaurants and bars. The road the hotel is on is not really a ‘proper’ road but it was no issue for me. Air con unit in the downstairs room was loud but I’m a heavy sleeper, upstairs room had a new aircon unit. I would have no problem staying here again for the price and location and the super friendly staff.

Amazing view. Superb service. Worth it! These are the words that can sum up our staycation at Harlan Beach Villa resort located at Station 1 in Boracay. The location is towards the end of Station 1 where there is more privacy and less crowd and you get to enjoy your own beachfront. The beach is literally 10 steps from the villa. We booked for 4 days, 3 nights and it was all worth it. First, the view! OMG! From sunrise to sunset, it just feels so surreal to have such a peaceful view of paradise. And the most amazing part is we get the best view of the sunset right in the villa. When it comes to service, OMG too! They are attentive to all our needs that you don’t need to ask them. They took care of us even to the point that wherever we go, one staff would accompany us to bring our stuff and if we go to enjoy water activities, they would also chaperone us, bring towels and water. And, the best part is we have our own private chef! He can literally cook whatever we are craving for even if it’s not in the menu. And man, the taste is just on point! We didn’t even dare to eat at other restaurants because why would we when we got the best chef! Harlan also offered us a complementary massage which made us feel even more relaxed. Overall, the experience was just amazing. You will definitely get what you pay for! It’s not cheap but it’s all worth it.
