I don't like to leave negative reviews. I believe that people deserve second chances, and I don't want to be responsible for ruining someone's business. Unfortunately, I don't think that my bad review will have much of an effect on this business, and I don't believe that the management of the hotel care if I leave a bad review. I found a cockroach in my room in the middle of the night. I let the staff know, and they did not seem to care at all. They told me because I booked the room through Expedia, I would have to ask Expedia for a refund. This was a lie. Expedia told me that it was up to the hotel to offer a refund. They attempted numerous times to reach out to the hotel, but they refused to answer. I stayed at this hotel to be near my daughter, who has a small apartment and is studying in Paris. I booked it online through Expedia, not understanding much about the area or the hotel. She tells me that if I had taken a photograph of the cockroach, that they would have done something. After my experience with them, I doubt a photo would make any difference. Obviously, I was trying to save money, and I liked that it had a kitchen so I could prepare my own food, to save money and not make an ordeal out of my terrible French. The room was a bit worn down. The sink in the bathroom had several cigarette burns on it, and the laminated wood for the sink cabinet had come apart from moisture. There was mildew and mold in the shower. The cooktop range nobs were broken and it took some time to fiddle with the to stay on. The kitchen didn't have a lot of things, like no spoons, and it was pretty clear that nobody had ever used the coffee maker, as it didn't have any filters. I'm pretty flexible and can deal with all this, but the cockroach was too much. I didn't want to risk bringing them home with me. The front desk staff did not give one @#$# at all about the cockroach or anything else. He offered me another room in the hotel, which I explained, made no sense, because it would be quite likely that many of the rooms would have cockroaches. Unfortunately, my daughter tells me this is probably not a part of Paris that many tourists visit, and I didn't get the sense that many people here speak English or read Tripadvisor reviews, so my review may not be of much use to anyone. The staff at the hotel knew this, which is why they ignored me and the staff at Expedia. I have been looking up their reviews on several sites, and they seem to be very different. I think that Tripadvisor and Facebook look like the only legitimate review sites (nobody in France uses Yelp). This whole process has helped me to realize I can't trust sites like hotels.com , bookings,com, or Expedia. Take a look at the difference in reviews of this place on these sites yourself. I should have spent more time looking into this place. I moved to the B&B Hotel that's two blocks from the Porte de Choisy metro station. It's a much nicer hotel with air conditioning, which I needed because of the heat

I have been towards many times in my younger days and I always found a little room in the centre of the city at a good price. This time I was going with the family. An entirely different proposition. My partner found this place. She is very good at finding something suitable. I was a little concerned at the distance from the centre of the city. We flew to Orly and got a taxi the hotel. The coach would have been €44 for the four of us. A taxi was €36 ! The hotel is basic. Flash it is not. However, clean, warm, nice bed, good shower, quiet close to the bus route into the city are all accurate comments. This leads me onto the buses and Metro etc. We got 2 days of travel on everything (zones 1 - 3) for the four of us for less than £25 each. Great value. There is an app that can help you get around if you are not c9mfy with maps etc. Hotel does breakfast but we did not partake so I cannot comment but the location was not too far out to allow for a good evening in the city and an easy and quick trip back to a warm comfy bed with a good sleep to look forward to. Views from the hotel leave a lot to be desired. On the plus side you can see where the hotel is because it is next to the big steam emitting chimneys beside the wonky office block ! 🤣

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. Hôtel propre et très bien situé, personnel accueillant. Part contre une caution est demandé de 200€ ce que je trouve très élevée !

El hotel queda en la parte sur de París, no tan cerca de la parte turística de la ciudad, pero está cerca de una estación de metro. Inicialmente, estábamos super preocupados por los comentarios de chinches en los cuartos, pero afortunadamente no paso nada de eso, pero se que a unos amigos que iban con nosotros, si tuvieron problemas con los chinches, parece que es algo de suerte. Los cuartos son algo pequeños: una cama, una barra para colgar chaquetas y una pequeña mesa con una silla y lucen algo antiguas las habitaciones. El agua caliente funciona bien. La calefacción no la usamos ya que no hacía tanto frío. Al baño le falta algo de limpieza, tenia mucho moho. El desayuno es buffet y es bastante bueno con diferentes opciones. El servicio del personal también fue muy bueno. Fueron muy amables. Solo un detalle para que tengan cuidado. Un día salimos todo el día y cuando regresamos, la puerta estaba entreabierta. Al parecer, la persona de la limpieza al salir, no cerró bien la puerta. Afortunadamente no se nos perdió nada, pero la verdad nos asustamos mucho.

Séjour du 23 au 27 décembre - appartement 522 & 501 Avant mon arrivée, j'avais demandé à avoir une location avec une baignoire, demande confirmée car tous les T2 sont équipés d'une baignoire m'a-t-on répondu À la prise de ma location, j'avais une douche ! (appartement 522) Après avoir exprimé mon mécontentement samedi matin et alors qu'on m'avait dit à la réception qu'il n'y avait plus d'appartement avec baignoire, une personne de l'accueil vient me voir et comme par hasard, me trouve un appartement avec une baignoire Transfert des affaires et prise de la nouvelle location (appartement 501), au moment de vouloir prendre un bain, grand moment de solitude ! Pas de bouchon pour pouvoir le prendre Retour à la réception pour en demander un...et là ! autre moment de solitude...après m'avoir promis de m'en apporter un rapidement, 1h après j'étais toujours dans l'attente de ce fameux bouchon... Après un autre passage à la réception, on me dit qu'il n'est pas possible den avoir un car les baignoires ont été livrées sans ! Au bout du compte, pour me faire couler un bain, j'ai été obligé de boucher la baignoire avec un ac en plastique pour pouvoir en profiter !! Du jamais vu pour moi ! Dois je parler des mômes qui couraient dans les couloirs en hurlant comme des hystériques ? Les parties communes sont sales, les balcons sont sales, les appartements n'ont pas de voilage, etc... Bref ! Si vous voulez perdre de l'argent, c'est là qu'il faut descendre ! Sinon fuyez cet établissement...

We have to walk from Charenton- ecole for 30minutes to get there. We were told it is the nearest station and within 1km to arrive. We needed to walk down the slope, cross the river not once but twice to get there. At the end we got to know the bus line 125&325 service between metro 7&8. The buses saved our days! It should be indicated into the hotel descriptions. We are family with babies and the need of baby bed was noted. Yet when we arrived (1 hr after given expected time), 2 staff were still setting up a simple foldable bed. We had two connecting twin rooms on the 7th floor. Can’t deny space is really gem in Paris. Yet we had spacious interior to accommodate a baby and a young child. Bathrooms have inconsistant number of chairs, shampoo/shower gel and soaps. One room has 4 towels the other has 2. Well, both twin room isn’t it? One with double bed the other has two single bed. We had one bathroom rack is broken. One bed head lamp totally not in place. Kitchen equipment not equal on both sides. No spatula for cooking. No bowls. Inconsistant number of utensils. No dish washing soap or sponge for cleaning. Ended up cleaning with hands only. There is no dishwasher too. Requested for sponge and soap, yet no one take our request seriously. We stayed 4 nights still nothing to clean. Fridge and microwave fully functional though. The floor is not so clean as staff walked in with shoes. Children has black dirty feet after venturing barefooted. Location cool for not visiting city centre of Paris. But if you are keen into hop-spotting landmarks here, this might not be the place for you. With children and family I would still be alert about the safety of this area. If lots of space and kitchen needed like us with young children, it is okay to stay a little further as we do not bar crawls at night. Most of the staff are not locals and could not manage our needs. Maybe they do not really understand French language or English. Management team need to catch up with hotel standards to sustain the attractiveness of this new establishment.

I don't expect luxury from a hostel, but I do expect cleanliness. On the surface the hostel appears clean. Most importantly, the bed sheets and mattress are clean. However, look beyond that and you'll see it's filthy and obviously never given a deep clean. Down the side of the lower bunk there is what must be months and months of rotten food, old socks, dirt and dust that has been allowed to collect. No wonder the room smells so musty and stuffy. My bunk had blood streaks from a squashed bug (and live mosquitoes flying about), as well as sticky finger prints all over the bed panels and window. Furthermore, the noise level is crazy. I understand on a Friday people want to party so the bar was blasting out music and the 1st floor rooms are not sound proof - I actually didn't mind that. What annoyed me was the fact that they were blasting music through the speakers in the 1st floor toilet/shower rooms. WHY?! This made the room and hallways even noisier. Its only saving grace is the location (and free wi-fi). It can feel a bit dodgy walking through there alone as a single woman at night, but so can any big city... The hostel is close to some great bars, restaurants, and tourist attractions (Père Lachaise Cemetery, for example). I'd recommend hiring a bike to get around - there's quite a few Vélib' bike stations a short walk away.

My husband and I stayed in a Superior Double Room for two days at the beginning of March. We had a wonderful view of the park and the Eiffel Tower. The room is beautiful to look at, but a little damaged in some parts (for example the shower). The biggest problem of the room was the ventilation system, as it smelled of the drain several times. The cleaner does her job, as she cleans the room daily, but the problem is exclusively ventilation. I might also point out that you can hear the chairs being moved in the bar in the room. I would also suggest that a different choice of breakfast be made every day, as it was the same breakfast twice. However, I would like to conclude by praising the staff, who were friendly at all times.
