Premier Inn Newcastle (Washington)

We had a fantastic weekend the room was a premiere plus room which was fab, especially the little extras like mag safe built into the bedside, the bottles of water in the fridge, the bathroom had a rain shower which was great. The lady on reception I didn’t get her name but she was fantastic always there with a welcoming smile and a quick chat very polite and accommodating she’s a credit to your team.

third stay at Washington Premier Inn - first time with all four of the family - husband and two older boys. Rooms have been recently refurbed so decor and cleanliness was better than average. Actually, room facilities etc far exceeded what you'd expect for the price. I think we paid around £150 for two nights in a family room with breakfast (kids eat free deal). We chose the hotel because of it's location, being central to the various family members we were visiting in South Shields, Durham, Gateshead and Newcastle - it was easy enough to get to and from the A1 but far enough away that there were no issues with traffic noise. Family room was a king bed, a single and put up bed - the put up bed had been placed in between the single and king, meaning three of us would need some acrobatic skill to climb out of the bed without standing on each other - we managed to manoeuvre the put up bed to the end of the other beds meaning it was all a little less claustrophobic and much easier with older boys! Beds were very comfortable. Stand out part of the whole visit was the friendliness of the staff - the two boys were made to feel welcome and were involved rather than being seen as an inconvenience - welcome was clear and kind after a long journey on a Friday evening and staff at breakfast were again, warm and welcoming and joking with the boys. Rooms were quiet through the night, breakfast was plentiful - husband declined a cooked breakfast one morning and was offered porridge so just lovely little bits of extra attention made all the difference. Really hope Premier Inn acknowledge and reward their staff who made a quick weekend away feel a little bit more special.

Comfy bed but the car parks a massive issue ….. full of work vans all parked every other bay and no room for cars … sounds of work men leaving in the morning early and not being quiet … no signs on exit to say please keep noise down …. Sat revving engines Room ok but two sachets of sugar and a tea bag isn’t going to see you through … get dressed and go down into the lobby to fill up your tea and coffee making facilities (chamber maids can’t be bothered to fill up for you ) cheap hand wash and shower gel Come on guys !!

Rooms are amazing , Janice was amazing and so helpful Highly recommend this hotel mainly because of her …… Great service , great rooms , great receptionist. …………………………………………….. Best hotel by far …………….,,…,,,,,,,.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Newly renovated rooms are clean and comfortable with excellent beds, quiet and very good value only 20 minutes drive from central Newcastle. Full English breakfast freshly prepared and only £10.99. Hard to beat for a budget stay near Newcastle.

Very welcoming staff. Room clean and we appointed although a bit small for a family of 4. Good shower but no extraction so room became very damp. Double bed very comfortable but the fold out bed was too hard and not at all comfortable for my daughter. Having said all that the overall experience and the price would lead me to stay again.
