Our stargazer tent was clean, beautifully appointed with West Elm furniture and a very comfy bed and GREAT pillows! I have a hard time finding pillows that are actually comfortable in hotels, but these had the perfect combo of squish and firmness. The bathroom was easily operational with the pull chain shower (staff would turn up the temp of the water if we needed as it’s heated on demand with propane). The toilet was standard with regular flush and soft close lid, and you could flush the TP! There was a wood stove but we didn’t need it as overnight temps were still in the mid 60s. The staff even hung a “happy anniversary” banner in our tent as we were there celebrating our 10th anniversary! It’s personal touches like that that made our stay so amazing! The grounds were beautiful and we loved eating dinner every night outside at the onsite restaurant watching the incredible sunsets, and sitting around the fire with other camp guests eating s’mores. We didn’t bring our kids on this trip but easily could have- there were games and plenty to do! I saw many families with kids of all ages enjoying themselves. We didn’t mind the 35 min drive to the park, and intact really appreciated that we were t staying in or close to town. We loved the open space and vastness of the surroundings, the gorgeous colors in the sky at sunset and sunrise. I only wish the kitchen had some grab and go breakfast options like a burrito or something since we left for the park most mornings before the kitchen opened for breakfast at 7. The park parking lot also opens at 7, so to get a spot in there we left around 6:30 each morning. The couple of breakfasts we did have were delicious! I only wished I had noticed the French toast on the kids menu before I filled up on other items! So many staff members made our stay memorable with their attention to detail, care, great attitudes, and friendly and funny conversation. Special thanks to SK, Chuck, Riddle, Rebecca, Chris, and Robert for making our stay so great!
