The room was clean and tidy, with great view and nice location. However, check out time at 11am was not really friendly, and they asked for surcharge for late checkout.

What can I say , LEGO Does exist .
Like the unique architecture of the building .
The room is spacious and clean, breakfast was great.
Surrounding is very convenient as many shops is just within 1 mins reach surrounding the hotel.
If you are planning to visit Zaanse Schans is just a short paddling away with your bicycles.
Price is reasonable with the size of the room and the hotel exterior . Not really a 4 star hotel but it has its value for money . I will definitely come back and stay in this hotel again if I do plan to visit the windmill someday in future .

The location of the hotel is very convenient, just a few minutes walk to the train station. The staff are all very helpful. The breakfast is the highlight not to be missed.
The only thing that upset me is that the lift is not available for hotel residents. We were in a spin, carrying the very heavy suitcases and had to walk up the escalator, as both the public lift and escalator were out of order on the day we checked out PLUS it was raining quite hard. Hotel staff told us that the hotel lift was for meeting and events only.

Hotel is located right beside the train station with a shopping street outside the hotel. Many restaurants were within walking distance and the famous windmill area is just another train station away or simply 21mins away on a bicycle. Room is spacious, just wish there were bedside electrical sockets. Would definitely consider staying there again at this beautiful hotel if I were to visit Amsterdam again.

On the positive, wellness is very nice, team tries to be helpful and beds are comfortable.
On the negative, first room faced street with lots of noise even on the 4th floor. Asked for a room change which they provided to a quieter but a bit smaller room. No issue, it was quiet 😅.
In the morning however I noticed a big black bug on the crispy white sheets - less fun that surprise in the morning but hey, we are close to water.
The bike I rented from the hotel is a good brand, however poorly maintained - tyres pretty flat and left brake didn’t function.
On the hotel info sheet was mentioned that welness opens from 06.00 to 23.00, however at 6.30 only fitness was open and swimming pool only as off seven.
No bathrobe or slippers available in the room which was very enjoying seen you have to take lift and cross hallways to reach wellness at 2/3 floor.
Finally the surroundings are convenient (close to train station) but it is a super touristy part with nothing for the visitor who is looking for authenticity. In summary, I had high hopes for this hotel but will never return despite a great swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Too Bad

Best location, loads of restaurants and Mcdonalds just outside the hotel. Train station is few steps away. Friendly staff. Very clean room. Looking forward to our next stay.

Location is perfectly next to the train station. Walking distance to McDonald’s and Primark. Halal food option is available also within 5 minutes radius from hotel. Room size is big and loved every bit of the hotel! Would definitely come back next time for a longer stay!

When first looking for hotels in the Netherlands, I knew that I wanted something close to Amsterdam but not in Amsterdam. This hotel in Zaandam was the perfect choice! It is right beside a rail station that made it so incredibly easy to get to and from Amsterdam. The look of the hotel is what caught my attention and the area right around it is what sold me. The area is picturesque and allows you the perfect place to walk around and enjoy just being there with the outdoor mall/strip and great eateries nearby. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and the room was comfortable and roomy! I loved absolutely everything about this hotel.
