Not a great first impression as the room I was given had bad mould in. I was given another room when I complained (thankfully without mould). Still, don't know how it had gone unnoticed, as it certainly stood out. Think I should have received a bit of money off for the inconvenience, honestly. I arrived about 10pm and had to be up at 5:30am, but then had to mess about going downstairs to talk to reception and switch rooms. I paid £232 for a three night stay, which, for a basic hotel, isn't cheap! The staff member on reception acted shocked when I showed him the photo of the mould, but it did seem like an exaggerated gasp. And from looking at the reviews on here, with several others complaining of mould in the rooms, I think my suspicions were correct. The place looks generally run down and tired, also. I noticed some bits of remnants on the hallway carpet which didn't move the entire time I was there, so the halls clearly aren't hoovered regularly. For the price per night, this place definitely needs some improvements. Maybe start with the mould problem...
