ICheck Inn Motel

First, the positives: (1) We survived and (2) we came in late and had to ring a bell for service - after about 5 minutes a guy showed up and he was quite helpful and kind at 1230 a.m. Now the negatives: People are clearly staying here for long periods of time - many semi-permament residents. So loads of sketchy activity at 1230 a.m. Two rats scurried under the car we parked beside (by the outside "play area"). I scared them away before they spooked my kids. They ran off to the building right beside the stairs to the second story. After passing some drug paraphernalia in the stair well, we quickly dove into room 25 - the family suite! It was gross - the floor was sticky, the bathroom was dated and could have been cleaned better. The faucet in the bathroom was not attached properly to the counter and the back window would not close properly or lock. We slept on top of the covers with one eye opened. Thankfully the kids woke up early and we decided to foego our showers and leave after only 6 hours in this place. Very thankful we survived, but this place is sketchy and I will do my research better next time and gladly pay more to stay elsewhere. We will never be back.
