Initial thought is the resort is beautiful. Staff is friendly, helpful and quick to respond. The room was beautiful, modern and spacious. Waterpark itself is okay for me, I've been to better. The spa is really small but I wanted my husband to experience his 1st spa, so for him it was the best and didnt want to leave. The massage therapist was immaculate. Food and drinks were okay. Tried to kayak but motor was down on their boat so couldn't do any of the lake activities per staff just incase someone gets lost they wont be able to come get you. Con of the trip was not knowing when you get there you'll pay additional parking and resort fee plus deposit. No lake activities except fishing at the pier. Overall it was a good 1st time experience there.

Our room had dirty dishes and kitchen was not clean. Staff did make it right for us though. A lot of resort fees but areas closed like the boats. I would stay at a different location next time.

Beware of this hotel. On arrival, they ask for an extra resort fee of $45 per day and card authorization of 200 dollars. The "authorization" is a scam. Money was taken from my card after my return home. I have sent email after email and phoned three times with nobody calling me back. I am forced to take this matter further which is such a shame as this has put such a bad memory on our first family holiday.
This is not the first time an issue like this has happened with this hotel. We were already unfairly charged for parking when we didn't even have a car. But this time, we will not be letting it slide. Nobody even cares to return our call.

My family enjoyed our stay at The Grove! Waterpark was a hit for my 7 year old and the accommodations were fantastic! Definitely coming back!

Our rooms were nice and clean . We had a 2 bed 2 bath and it was so spacious! Both bathrooms were huge which we loved ! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bartenders by the pool made excellent drinks and was very nice as well.
The property itself needed some upgrades in some places such as the dreadful carpet in the hallways . The elevator was broken the entire stay , which made getting around a little more challenging. The utensils and pots in the kitchen need to be replaced as well.
Despite a few challenges, we had a great stay!

We travelled with our young family, 3 kids. As far as convenience we rented an SUV so everything is convenient. The property is beautiful and has everything kids would want. The size of the rooms are exactly what we look for with 3 kids. However, alot of the negative reviews we read were based around room cleanliness and that holds true. The first thing you notice is the size of room, kitchen, view etc. After that everything was pretty much dirty. Carpets, flooring, counters, broken glass in one of the bedrooms etc. Our first trip was to wal mart for supplies for the fridge and cleaning products to get our room to basic condition. After that part we rly had no issues and loved the rest of the property and what it offers. I would still probably stay here again and just come prepared. Not much maid staff on site, and if you call the front desk it will take awhile for someone to get to your room. All they rly do is change your garbages every other day. I would recommend taking whatever you can when you see a maid push cart in a hallway i.e toilet paper, towels, paper towels etc.
As stated, will likely consider staying again, but would also consider surrounding areas before committing.

The grounds are beautiful and the pools and water park were great. There is not enough check in staff to handle arrivals and questions efficiently. The common areas (hallways) are in need of repair. Walls are damaged and carpets stained. Our room was nice and large but not well cleaned (stained towels, microwave had not been cleaned)
