B&B Hotel Würzburg-Ost

Basic hotel in the outskirts of Würtzburg. Easy access from the Autobahn. The rooms are basic, but you have all you need for the night. Good mattresses, quiet hallways and surroundings. The rooms are very clean and so is the shower. Breakfast is ok, but keep in mind that this is a one star hotel. No big buffet with warm food, but you get a selection of breads and bagels along with cereals and different lay ons. Good coffee. Easy parking outside.

I'm in my room right now, just checked in. I'm sweating, because it's a sunny day, the room is in the top floor (3rd) and there is no air conditioning – not in the room, not on the floor. I told the guy at the reception (a nice guy, you have to give him that), and he said he knows. I asked to be moved to a lower floor, but that it's not possible, because all the rooms for families are on the top floor. I asked for a room with a double bed, and then add a small bed for the child: not possible. The room is small but fairly clean. We have bunk beds (yes, bunk beds): my son will sleep above my wife and me, while we'll share a bed so narrow that nobody can call it "double" and remain serious. We have a toilet, a shower and a small sink, but we don't have a bathroom: the toilet is in a 1m² closet with no fan to take out the smell, so we'll have to share literally everything. Same for the shower: this time the closet is maybe 1.5m², but still no fan. The sink is in the room with us. Ok, enough whining, I have to go downstairs and bring up the luggage. Of course, no elevator. But hey, I saved 30€ compared to a decent place to sleep with my family.

Echt Budget: Harte Betten, verdreckte Flure, kein Aufzug, Checking ab 17h, nur alle 4 Tage Zimmerservice, laute Außenumgebung ohne Klimsanlage.so in kurzen Worten nein Eindruck nach einer Nacht. In meinen Augen nur im Notfall akzeptabel.

Scelto come appoggio per una notte di passaggio da Wurzburg, economico e in linea con lo standard Ibis Budget. Camera essenziale ma pulita, colazione classica internazionale a buffet. Manca l'ascensore e per noi è stato un po un problema perché avevamo anche un neonato di 4 mesi con il passeggino e ci è stata assegnata una camera al terzo piano. Ci siamo comunque adeguati lasciando il passeggino in macchina e portando in braccio il bimbo (dovendo restare solo per una notte non è stato un grosso stravolgimento). Grande parcheggio disponibile gratuitamente. Posizione comoda subito fuori dall'autostrada.
