The hotel is conveniently located with a bus stop right outside. For guests without a car, a shuttle service is also provided. You can rent mountaineering equipment from the lobby, where a microwave is also available for use. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very polite and hospitable.

The large public bath was a fantastic amenity, especially after a sweaty day of trekking. Having a bus stop conveniently located right in front of the property was another major plus.

This hotel is a bit old but the service is excellent. Room with river view is worth the extra $.

We absolutely loved this stay and would recommend it to all travellers! We booked the corner room. The room was well illuminated by natural light during the day and we could see the river from our room. At night we could even hear the water flowing. There were two western single beds but we asked for futons for the full Japanese experience and loved it! The room was spacious and clean. There was a bathtub in the bathroom but we used the public bath (male and female separated) which was amazing. The public bath was quiet and spacious and there was a sauna room. Breakfast was served during 7am -830am with a well set table as shown in the picture. The staff was super kind. Just note that the walls were thin and you should expect some noise but people here are generally used to keeping their voice down. Another highlight is that you can take the bus of both the red and blue lines at the bus stop right in front of the hotel. (The blue line is for Shiratani Unsuikyo.). It is very convenient if you are not driving. The hotel is around 25 mins away from the ferry port and the walk there was pleasant and not difficult to find. Yet another great thing about this place is that you can rent mountaineering gear here at a cheap price, including shoes and rain protection. We rented the shoes here at 1,xxx yen per person (forgot the exact price) and they were very useful. It was raining for almost the whole 5h hike for us and the shoes offered a good grip and were sufficiently waterproof. You can also find little souvenirs at their shop. Honestly, it's impeccable!

The river view rooms at the hotel offer stunning scenery. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it very convenient to get to Baigu Yunshui Gorge. The hotel also provides airport shuttle service, which is very convenient.

Overall, I was satisfied. There was a day when I had no choice but to stay in the hotel all day due to a typhoon, but the large public bath had a sauna, so I was able to relax. The food was average, but it was nice to be able to take care of everything within the inn without having to go out. It's good value for money, so I would stay there again when traveling alone.

The traditional Japanese-style rooms are spotless and face the Miyanogama River, its crystal-clear waters revealing the riverbed. Transportation is relatively convenient, as it's a must-pass point on the Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge. There's also a bus stop in front of the hotel, a perfect combination. The staff are friendly and smiling; although some are older, they are very attentive to guests. The hotel has a public bath and sauna. While not breathtakingly beautiful, they are enough to create lasting memories for guests.

Fantastic breakfast and dinner. Clean and well-equipped rooms. A little noisy. Large anteroom with bathroom. Balcony with an additional room in front for relaxation. Separate large bathroom with sauna and onsen, perfect for relaxing after a hike.

The large public bath is fantastic. It really helped me recover from my fatigue after hiking! The bus stop is right in front, and there are shops within walking distance, so it's very convenient. They even provided a shuttle service to the airport.

The room was different from the picture. We were shown to a room in a separate building that looked like an apartment, and it was inconvenient because we had to use an umbrella to get to the bathroom. The main building has a nice view from the room and isn't a bad inn by any means, but the separate building is inconvenient and I was worried about security. There were also school trip guests, so maybe we were just unlucky. It's a shame.

Good points: - Right in front of the Ohara-machi bus stop. - A-Coop (supermarket up to 1900) is within walking distance, making shopping convenient. There's a shared microwave in the inn, so you can buy food at the supermarket and eat it there. There's also a refrigerator in the room. - There's a large public bath and a sauna. - Shiratani Unsuikyo is a 30-minute bus ride away. - The hotel staff are friendly. Not-so-good points: - The noise from the plumbing in a nearby room was surprisingly loud, making it difficult to sleep. - The rental equipment is not well maintained. The equipment itself is old. While it seems to be an established inn and shows its age in many ways, I think the location is excellent. It might be good to leverage its age and perhaps even specialize in mountain-related features. However, the facilities need to be maintained.

I stayed here to go to Jomon Sugi. The front desk staff were kind enough to give me lots of advice. Even though I arrived the night before my departure, they were able to order a lunch box to take on the trekking. The bus stop is right in front of the hostel, and the morning bus to Jomon Sugi was convenient.

The river view room has a beautiful scenery, with an extremely clear blue-green river outside the window. Breakfast and dinner are fresh local ingredients, mainly fish. There is a bus stop at the door: Ohara Town.
