Island Brook Estate Vineyard and Chalets

We loved that the chalet was beautifully furnished and it was easy to feel at home. From our chalet we couldn’t see anything but woodland - really private and quiet and yet accessible to the main road into Margaret River and the many vineyards surrounding us. Big bonus for us was staying on the vineyard- we enjoyed a stroll to the cellar for a tasting - great wine! I would love to visit here again as such a great base for the area!

My husband and I loved our stay at Island Brook Estate. The chalets were private and surrounded by the beautiful jarrah forrest. The interior design was beautiful as well as the layout. The spa bath overlooking the forrest was exceptional- and it was huge even for two! Jill and Paul are incredibly warm and welcoming to their incredible estate. We even got the privilege of being able to introduce the resident geese to the goslings! The cellar door offers award winning wines, so no need to get a driver if you want a wine tasting experience, or to enjoy by the glass sitting overlooking the vineyards. The location was wonderful, 15 minutes to Margaret River, 10 minutes to Vasse and in the heart of wine country. You are close enough to explore Yallingup and the surrounds without being apart of the chaos in peak season. Affordability is next level compared to what is offered in the area. My husband and I had a great stay in Semillon. Loved the secluded forest feel, though sadly no kangaroos spotted! Clean. Pleasantly decorated. Comfy king-size beds. Decent enough kitchen to enable us to eat in each night. Good quality toiletries. The location is great for exploring the Margaret River Region. Your host Jill was really helpful in enabling us to do a mountain of laundry. The water pressure was a bit iffy on a couple of occasions, but it didn't really matter. You need to be a bit athletic to use the shower; no big deal but it seems to slope oddly - though also good forest views while you're showering! Thoroughly recommended.

Our first trip to Margaret River, it didn’t disappoint. The tranquility of the chalet was amazing - beautifully presented with all that you would require for your stay. Wine tasting was another added bonus. Thanks for a great stay - would definitely come back.

We stayed 4 nights in the Semillon chalet, and it was a beautiful , relaxing, Christmas holiday. The king-sized beds were so comfortable, as were the two couches in the living area. Decor was contemporary and tasteful, and the kitchen equipped with everything we needed. Water pressure in the shower was great, although having a shower over the spa tub wasn’t ideal for us (this is the only reason I haven’t given the chalet a perfect score). Great communication from hosts; Jill and Natalie both made us feel welcome. Parrots dropped gum nuts on our roof from about 4:45am each day (when the sun was already coming up) … made sure we went to bed early! A delightful bushland experience, that we just embraced. The tranquility and birdsong were heavenly. Loved it!

Lovely, extremely comfortable chalet with all necessary requirements. Very peaceful and private but close to all that the area has to offer. Jill was very responsive and happy to help with any issues. Would highly recommend.
