以前から泊まってみたかった由布院。豪華観光列車ななつ星を手掛けた水戸岡悦治さんのトータルデザインでリニューアル。旅館ですが、椅子やベッドがあり、シンプルながら素敵なデザインで、お部屋に人が出入りされるのが好きでない私たちにぴったりでくつろぐことができました。 　食事は、別のお部屋で頂くので、部屋食より気楽で良かったです。お料理は、盛り付けも工夫されていて美しく、おいしく頂くことができました。若い女性スタッフの方に質問すると、料理以外も何でもきちんと答えてくださり、感心しました。食べ物を残せない私たちには、鍋が、一品多かったので、お腹いっぱいでした。旅館は、夕食も朝食も量が多いので、旅館2日続きは年をとると少し苦しかったです。 　お風呂は、時間を決めて、家族で入れるもので、広い露天風呂もありくつろぐことができました。 　金鱗湖や湯の坪街道を散策するのに便利な場所にあり、ショッピングも楽しめて、楽しかったです。 　また、いつか、由布院を訪れる際は、泊まりたいですね。

My wife and I love this place. It is a bit old but well maintained. The front staff is very warm, courteous and personal unlike the modern hotels. The dinner and breakfast were just awesome. The quality is much better than other ryokans that we have stayed. The dishes are specially prepared and served in nice cutlery. They even arranged an English speaking waiter from Nepal to serve us. But unlike most ryokans where food is served in the room, we have to go to the dinning hall for our meals. The location is right in the middle of Yufuin main street. We are not aware that they provide free pick up service from the Railway Station. We had to roll our 2 large suitcases which is a fair walk from the Station. It was only when we ask the hotel to arrange a taxi upon checking out that they told us they can provide the ride.

毎年恒例、夏の三泊四日家族旅行の最終日の宿として宿泊。初めての宿泊でしたが概ね満足のいくものでした。 ただ、一見客に対しては足元を見てから接客するのか、気になる点もありました。 【接客・サービス】 座椅子や浴衣、スリッパなどの数について、小学生を含めた4名の宿泊にもかかわらず、3名分の準備のみ。また、部屋の鍵も最初は一つのみで、こちらの申し出により追加で持ってくるという対応。 その他、アップルパイ予約可否を確認すると回答するという風に、聞けばそつなく答えてくれますが能動的な対応はありません。 【客室・アメニティ】 宿泊した部屋は10畳二間に通しの廊下、読書室があるゆったりした造りで寛げました。ただ、和室に敷いてもらった敷布団が一枚というのは、このクラスでは驚きです。 また、アメニティは竹ふえまでとは言いませんが、もう少しランクアップを期待したいです。 その他、宿泊層を考慮してとのことと思いますが、手洗いが固形石鹸だけというのは、このコロナ禍で使い回しを避けるという観点からハンドソープで対応すべきと思われました。また、女性用コスメがなかったことも対応が必要かと思われます。 あと、トイレの匂いに対する対策は急務です。 【施設・設備】 雨で利用できませんでしたが、計算された庭園にベンチがあり、ゆったりした時間が流れるような造りになっています。敢えて部屋などに時計を置かないのも時間を忘れてゆっくり過ごすためとのことで、徹底したコンセプトが貫かれています。 【食事】 夕食について、メインのヒレ肉などコストもかけており美味しくいただきました。八寸や煮物の味は少し濃い気がしましたが、鴨鍋の出汁の味は絶品でした。また、朝食時の一人ひとり違う要望にもきめ細やかに対応されるのには感心させられました。 【バス・お風呂】 特筆すべきものはありませんが、内湯は屋根も高く、露天風呂も開放感がありました。また、部屋付きの内風呂があるため他の宿泊客と混み合うこともなくゆったりできました。 【総括】 常連客の方は、田舎に帰るような気持ちで利用されるのでしょう。また、我々もまた帰りたくなったらお邪魔しますので、迎えていただけますと幸いです。

The property is very easy to locate and has ample free parking. The owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. Very nicely prepared, arranged and delicious. The rooms were pretty good. Comfortable but not overly spacious. The onsen was pretty good as well. Personally did not enjoy the type of water that was in the bath as it was very different feeling to other baths but it was nice to have a rotemburo outside. Owners were very understanding when we had to spend the day in the hotel rearranging our itinerary and flights to head back to Canada due to Covid-19. The town itself, we were not super big fans of. We could see how many would like it but it really didn't hold much interest to us. And sorry but Kinrin Lake is a pond, not a lake. Liked the hotel but don't think we will return to Yufuin in the future. Thanks for all your kindness during our stay with you.

由布院駅から由布見通りから湯の坪街道を通った徒歩15分程度の湯の坪川沿いの場所に立地。部屋数が7つの小ぢんまりした温泉旅館、部屋は和室8畳、窓からは由布岳の勇姿が。お風呂は洗い場が2個、熱めの内湯と温めの露天風呂。夕食は1階の1階の食事処で、タイとカンパチの刺身ワン・胡麻豆腐・菜の花の御浸し・鰆の焼物・牛ステーキ・野菜の煮物・さつま芋・海老等の天婦羅・ご飯・赤だし・香の物・黒豆と餡子のゼリー、お酒は鷹来屋と西の関、ボリュームもあり大変美味しゅうございました。昼・夜・朝に源泉掛け流しの湯に浸かり、のんびりとした時間を過ごしました、次回は蛍の季節に家族で来たい。

I have been to a few different ryokans across Japan now and Yawaraginosato Yadoya is definitely in the front of the pack. The staff are very friendly and personable. They are helpful even after we check out of the room and had our car still parked for a couple hours. The private onsen options are abundant and there are 4 different private onsen you can book for your family. There is also a game room that you can book for ping pong and fooseball, the former is very onsen appropriate...haha. The dinner was fantastic. The beef from Oita rivals A5 Kobe Beef I have had else where. We were so full by the end of the meal. The kids meal are also beautifully presented. There are multiple massage chairs that are high quality and great to use after onsen. The room is one of the nicer rooms we've stayed at ryokans. Some ryokan rooms are dated and old but still costs similarly, this place was nice and new. What I would like to see improvement from Yawaraginosato is I expected to have the meal in our room. In this case we went to their restaurant. I have always had shokuji in my room and the staff always made the beds for us, which was a nice service and also how I justify the high price of staying at an onsen ryokan.

The hotel is located right next to the Main Street of yufuin. It is extremely convenient to shops nearby. It also provides a tranquil environment, with contemporary decor that suits the modern comfort. The service girl is polite and gives a warm touch. There are two hot spring room for just 6 rooms, so you can enjoy a relaxing warm bath at anytime you prefer. No luxe, but cozy and nice.

Great facility with three private hot springs. The room is super cozy. Location is a 15 mins walk distance from the JR station, if you go with a big luggage, it would be a bit inconvenient but still acceptable. The ryokan is 8-10mins to the Kinrin Lake.

It is about 10-15 min walk from Yufuin train station to the Ryokan. If you have large luggages, it will be good to call for a taxi, otherwise, it is manageable! We were warmly welcomed by reception staff. They were quick to receive us and took care of our luggages as we were checking in. A tour around the ryokan was also given to us by a staff, Erika-san who took care of us for our 2 nights stay. The room, bathroom and baths were clean and comfortable. Sleep wear was provided and to top up the experience, they also provided Yukatas and footwear for going out. Also, besides providing the showering gels, the vanity table even included some facial and hair lotion. Breakfast was sumptuous and yummy and we had a private room to ourselves. Erika kindly explained to us the dishes in English and offered us with photo taking for memories. (Don’t have to feel awkward requesting). Also, contrary to some reviews, dinner was also splendid and tastes were just right. Ingredients were fresh as well! Worth the dollars and cents! If you are looking at a hot bath, this ryokan has got 3 private baths (2 outdoor and 1 indoor) and 2 public baths (1 for men and 1 for women). Went for the private bath and it felt like it was our own sanctuary as we were undisturbed and were given a time limit of 1 hour 40 min. There were a few staff who are seen around from time to time and they are always polite and helpful. Can’t emphasize enough on their service! A place I will come back to in future!

首先是位置，離由布院車站拉大行李走路約8分鐘，熱鬧的湯之坪商店街中央一帶，去程有點小上坡，感覺不太出來，不過下次應該會直接在車站旁邊用寄送服務。 由府両築對麪是日之春旅館、榎屋旅館在斜對麪，隔着小溪過去就是高檔的玉之湯。玉之湯還有一個專屬停車場在由府両築隔壁，都是停左駕車款。 服務方面就是標準日式貼心服務，因為馬路到玄關是鋪石頭的造景，所以服務人員會衝出來幫你提全部的行李進去。 入內后先安排在旁邊休息、喝茶、吃甜點（自家賣的蛋糕，很香很好吃），這時候會看到剛剛提行李的服務人員在努力的幫我們清潔行李箱的輪子（驚）。老闆娘會親自接待check in的確認與環境介紹，最後帶我們去房間。 走道樓梯都會發出木頭嘎資嘎資的聲音，畢竟是幾十年的歷史，房間門打開有小玄關分離廁所及房間，玄關燈是感應式的，窗戶是傳統紙糊的那種，不過外麪還有裝氣密窗，榻榻米味道很香，環境也很乾凈舒服。廁所門打開後有一雙很「方正」看起來像木屐的拖鞋， 沒有淋浴設備，馬桶很新，靠近會自動打開，坐下會自動加熱的免治馬桶。 泡湯間一共有四間，都是貸切風呂，兩個室內兩個露天，室內湯通風良好不會悶。衹要沒人用都可以進去泡，缺點是沒風景。 因為全旅館才八間房，扣掉一間有附設專屬私人風呂的房間，幾乎不會遇到泡湯間客滿的狀況（我們入住那天好像衹有5組客人，有韓國人跟日本人，泡兩次湯都在門口猶豫要選擇泡哪間）。 晚餐部分衹能說還好下午有刻意不買點心吃，整套吃下來根本撐死，從餐前酒、前菜...一 直到甜點大約吃兩小時，豐后牛壽喜燒好好吃，由很帥的主廚（疑似老闆娘先生）幫我們煮壽喜燒，我不擅長處理的烤魚看起來刺很多卻很好用筷子分開，吃飽喝足后再去大廳坐沙發吃甜點布丁配咖啡。 每次進出都會有服務人員幫你提鞋（外出鞋跟館內的拖鞋），因為吃太飽想出去走走，老闆娘有提醒這裏晚上有些地方沒路燈很暗，要小心，本來想走去金鱗湖探路，結果沿着小溪走不到2分鐘前方就看不到路燈放棄，之後就在湯之坪附近隨意繞一下，逛逛超市超商，連博青哥店都沒啥人。 早餐也是很豐盛的，剛坐下就擺滿桌子，以為大概就是這樣的份量結果又是一盤接一盤的上，又是一整個飽到不行。昨晚的帥主廚居然穿西裝在接待，我想他應該是老闆吧。 最後，退房時間是10點，行李可以放在房間由服務人員幫忙提下來（走廊樓梯擺很多古董擺飾，請旅館人員幫忙提行李也比較安全）。老闆娘在入住時會先確認我們交通方式並貼心的告知可以將行李寄放在旅館，要前去搭車時再回去領就可以了。 直接交鑰匙之後先去逛金鱗湖跟商店街，玩到中午回旅館拿行李，穿西裝的帥主廚跟其他服務人員會幫我們拍照、提行李到門口，再不斷揮手鞠躬道別，感覺真的超窩心的。

When you think of Yufuin, you'd undoubtedly think about the hustle and bustle of the shopping street, but the moment you turn into the alley where this ryokan is located, it quietens down. It's a beautifully-renovated ryokan - traditional on the outside, but modern and luxurious on the inside. A nice private onsen sits in each of the 6 rooms of the ryokan, but there is a private outdoor one too. A nice addition to that would be the outdoor foot onsen that is accompanied by a beer dispenser. I thoroughly enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast. The bungo beef was one of the best I've eaten, and so were the sashimi, grilled fish, and tofu. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better.
