What a comfy stay! Spacious room! Even gotten 2 glasses of wine for choosing not to clean up the room. Breakfast is normal. Hotel provides free tea breaks as well! Just a short walk from main station. Will definitely stay here again!

I have been in Zermatt many times and stayd different hotels. This time I decided to stay at this hotel. And it was fantastic. The hotel is very stylish, the rooms are tastefully furnished and room service is provided twice a day. The staff I met was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is rich and tasty. The SPA area is amazing - jacuzzi, different saunas, etc. Price and quality are in good balance. I was very positively suprised with this hotel and wish the whole Backstage Hotel family all the best. We will definitely go back again next year. Respect !

Perfect team .. perfect view .. perfect place .. well what can I say? The design of the hotel is pretty nice (futuristic) and the pool with an inside and outside parts are perfect for relaxing. Did I have to speak about the breakfast ... a really nice buffet with a good cappuccino .. :)

Located in the centre of Zermatt, Hotel Astoria offers spacious rooms, free WiFi, and access to a wellness area for surcharge. Zermatt Train Station and the Klein-Matterhorn Cable Car are a 10-minute walk away. At Christmas, New Year's Day, and New Year's Eve, special gala dinners can be enjoyed. Right next to the Astoria Hotel, there is a lively bar, a small supermarket, a bakery, and several sports shops and restaurants. A bus stop is around the corner. Transfers from and to the train station or the taxi stand can be booked as well. At a nearby partner hotel, activities for children are offered during the day and on request in the evening. Babysitting services can be arranged on request.

Absolutely in love with this place and definitely will come back to the same hotel ! Staff is very friendly and efficient! Receptionist Matilde is extremely polite and professional! We even extended our vacation and stayed one more night there as we love it so much. The view from the dining area and jacuzzi is stanning ! Very satisfied with our choice of the hotel

If you value superb, old-school hospitality and service, this is the hotel for you. This historical hotel is beautiful and exudes relaxed style but the exceptional staff make this place truly special. It's clear that the staff enjoy working here. Every single staff member is happy and welcoming and all are professional to perfection. Special mentions should go to front of house staff Giorgio and Illiana and indeed to all the breakfast staff. We loved our recent week stay at Monte Rosa and you will too. Flawless five star service and facilities in this hotel. Thank you Monte Rosa!

What a lovely hotel, we arrived at Zermatt station on Sunday 4 February, and was collected by Annett owner of the Hotel, in an electric buggy as Zermatt is car free. The hotel is about a five minute walk from the town centre, and is in a great location. On arrival at the hotel we were offered a glass of prosecco in the reception\ bar area. The lounge area is very cosy with a lovely open fire. Our room had an amazing view of the Matterhorn, we did book a Matterhorn view room in advance. The room had everything you require, and was lovely and comfy. The balcony had chairs with throws so you could sit and take in the view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was really nice with a large selection of hot and cold food, everything you could want. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. We would love to go back there again. So glad we chose this hotel as it made our stay in Zermatt perfect. We Would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone going to Zermatt, you will love it.

Outstanding experience. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the view was great, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We loved at the end of the day being able to use the spa -- sauna, steamroom, outdoor IR sauna, and outdoor hot tub. They also arranged an excellent sports massage in the massage room for my aching legs. Lower level secure storage area for skiis with heated boot drying racks. 5 minute walk to town; far enough away that it was quiet but close access. Room had a comfortable sitting area. They provided simple things that made life easier ie coffee machine in lobby and honor system snacks. Was delighted with the stay.

If you want to experiece fine service this is the place to visit. Full of praise for the entire staff. Located in a peaceful area and within walking distance of all activities, restaurants, marketplace and station. You enter you are so warmly greeted and the ambience around makes you immediately feel that you are in for a great experience. The handwritten welcome note , chocolates , customised pillow options , room ammeneties , mini bar with.compimentary drinks and on departure again a handwritten note with a bag of goodies shows how caring they are for their guests. Room was spacious and a balcony with a Matterhorn view. Housekeeping was very good. We are vegetarian and on our whole trip this was the only hotel where we relished the breakfast. Their compimentary pick up and drop service was another highlight. Above all as mentioned earlier all praise for their staff for making our stay memorable. A top notch hotel which deserves a five star rating.

The restaurant, the pool, the bar and the rooms were magnificent! The owner Frau Perren is amazing (really cool!) and makes you feel at home. Of course I am biased I love Switzerland, I love skiing and I love good food. In addition, the wine selection at the hotel is really good particularly Italians and high-end Swiss Pinot Noirs.
