The hotel location is great. The standard is really high after renovation. What was an amazing though was the staff. In particular a gentleman by the name of Zac at the reception. For some reason our room reservation had disappeared but he sat us down, made us a coffee and went about solving the problem. Zac was so, intelligent and witty, so knowledgeable about the mountains and all things Zermatt. He told us where to go on bad weather days, where to eat, where to take walks, where to ski. We always enjoy Zermatt but this time our stay had new dimensions because of all his recommendations. Kudos also to Jenny and the Spanish breakfast lady who was super sweet!

Goao picked us up from the GBB station and pointed out different restaurants that we might like. Walking into the hotel revealed a scent perfect for the senses, and the decor was fabulous. We were greeted by Marco’s smiling face. He was pleasant and full of information. He answered all of our questions and was very attentive to our needs. We mistakenly took the lift down to the basement but was surprised when Martin, the owner of the hotel, greeted us and inquired about our experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and it had a great layout. Balcony views of the mountains on both sides were an added bonus. We enjoyed the daily complimentary breakfast, the selections were awesome, and the staff were nice and pleasant. Between the three gentleman and the breakfast staff, we felt welcomed and appreciated. We will definitely stay here again if we’re able to return to Zermatt. I highly recommend it.

Great hotel Don’t expect luxury but given the price point you know this already The rooms are small but functional with everything you need for your stay including a great coffee machine that’s topped up daily. Breakfast is well beyond what I was expecting and had cereals, meats, yoghurts, breads, cheeses, sausages, eggs and probably much more! Plus more really good coffee! Located 5 minutes walk to Bayard ski rental, and an additional 1 minute to the Gornergrat railway taking you up onto the slopes From the hotel, you can be on the train in under 10 minutes. Staff are really helpful and allowed us to keep our bags there on the last day even though we’d checked out. There’s a quick lift to all floors. I would highly recommend the hotel if your plans are to ski all day, go out on an evening and use it as a place to sleep. Would certainly return

Our family of 4 was very pleased with our stay at Hotel Alphubel in early May 2023. Our hosts, Werner, and his lovely sister, were so pleasant and helpful. We arrived in the late afternoon and Werner suggested we make a reservation at a local restaurant for fondue (which was fabulous!). The room for 4 was clean and comfortable. It isn’t a super fancy establishment, but this wonderful family-owned hotel was conveniently located, quiet and served a delicious breakfast each morning which we appreciated before long days visiting Zermatt. Thank you again, Werner, for making our stay perfectly delightful!

예약 당시 숙소가 여기 밖에 없어서 예약했었는데 너무 좋았습니다. 위치도 체르마트 역에서 멀지 않고 체르마트 메인거리에 위치해서 어딜가든 접근성이 좋았습니다. 방도 너무 깔끔하고 발코니도 있어서 체크아웃하기 전에 최고의 여유도 즐겼습니다. 조식은 체르마트라 간단한 편이었는지 모르겠지만 가볍게 즐길 수 있는 정도였습니다. 다시 또 가고 싶은 곳입니다.

Getting a room in Zermatt during the peak winter season is quite challenging without committing to a certain minimum number of room nights. We were fortunate to book a room at Hotel Derby for one night, which fits our tight travel schedule. Several things we loved about this hotel: 1. The location - It is easily accessible on foot and situated along a busy street, only a minute's walk from Zermatt train station. 2. The guest rooms - They are recently renovated and beautifully furnished. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the peak of Matterhorn. Unfortunately, it was too cold in December that we didn't get to enjoy ourselves or stay out for long. 3. The breakfast - A wide selection of continental breakfast and it is included in the room rate. Even though it was a short stay for us, on the whole, the staff is amiable, and we highly recommend it.

We stayed in the first floor apartment in this brand new building. The apartment which accommodates six guests, covers the entire first floor. The apartment is surrounded by balconies and a huge terrace directly facing the Matterhorn. Two bedrooms and the kitchen/dining overlook the river. The sound of the river is really seductive! The third bedroom overlooks the terrace and has a huge modern ensuite bathroom. The apartment has been done to an extremely high standard. The kitchen is huge, modern and well equipped. The three bathrooms have been done with modern design and tasteful finishes. There is a washing machine/dryer in the apartment which is extremely convenient. The location of the building is very central with easy access to the train station and all touristic and sports attractions. Many restaurants are within meters away. Our stay was made most comfortable by the constant attentive service provided by Ms. Alessandra who takes extra care and does not spare any effort to make her guests enjoy a memorable vacation. Highly recommended.

The good news: It’s well located, right in the center of town where you arrive whether by Haute Route trail or by train. The completely automated check in process went smoothly (though it would’ve been nice to have someone to resolve the problem I describe below.) The room was clean and handsome. Breakfast was solid - including good coffee. Now, the bad news: Room 104 has no ventilation. The only air vent is the fan in the bathroom. The single “window” is actually a glass door, sitting right at street level of the heavily used pedestrian walkway behind the hotel - so getting air into the room means also welcoming anyone why might be passing by to come on in. I don’t like leaving negative reviews - but this is a serious design flaw that shifted what would’ve been a lovely stay into a miserable night. I imagine other rooms aren’t set like this, so your odds are pretty good if having a better experience than I did- but if you land with 104, your night is recked and their is no one to turn to for help.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaLovely stay! Got the matterhorn view suite and it was so beautiful! The receptionist was also very helpful with guiding us with what we can do at Zermatt!
However, need to take note that their reception will only be there till 10pm. It’s actually stated but I didn’t read it so when I arrived Zermatt train station at 11pm, I panicked a little. We flag down the taxi at my own cost, 18chf for 3 people and luggages, they dont provide free taxi after 10pm. Also, the entrance door will be closed/locked after 10pm, we rang the bell and the door opened and they left the key with a letter on the counter for the check in.
The breakfast place is also overlooking the Matterhorn and it’s so pretty. Stayed for only 1 night but really enjoyed my stay there!

Other than this, all’s well when it comes to the location, wifi was stable, room design and scenic views from the balcony were as reflected on the website and not forgetting, the complimentary shuttle to train station.

we stayed 3 nights and were luckily blessed with 1 day of clear whether at the top of the mountains.
2 ways to walk to the hotel from train station, the shorter one that google will tell u includes a steep climb (difficult if you have luggages in tow).
the easier and better walk will just be to keep going straight, turn left at the matterhon musuem / church junction, and from there just a short gradual stretch to reach the hotel. very doable even with kids and luggage .

PPengguna TetamuI was very happy with interlaken youth hostel and decided to book zermatt youth hostel. Free Good Breakfast, although a toaster would have been nice but they have good coffee machine and good collections of tea bags. Clean property and good view of Matterhorn from dining area! The property did not mention that the bus do not go anymore to 'luchre' stoppage. The property is quite high up in the mountain. The bus left me a place way below to the stoppage. so it was very hard to take luggage up to the property. Also, the distance between Luchre bus stop and the property is also bit long. considering the steepness. Second thing, the property does not have lift! It was really really hard to go up to 3rd floor with luggage. For me, a kind romanian staff helped me to take the suitcase to the 3rd floor. I also find the room (most probably 138 or 134) that I had been given at the very last corner of the corridor, which is fine. but opposite to that room, there is another property whose bedroom or lounge room facing my room, The room does not have curtain. it was very uncomfortable. Interlaken youth hostel has the curtain. not all the room needs curtain, but some room facing other properties, I strongly recommend this small addition. when I mentioned that to the lady, she said, go to a hotel, this is hostel. I replied, Interlaken has curtain. she did not reply. while leaving, the lady staff was very rude and said no one can help you to get the suitcase down. One gentleman was kind and helped me. This property is good. unfortunately, it is not possible perhaps to add lift or change location. but they can add curtain for sure.

The price of the room is already included the swimming pool and gym and Sauna, that is the excellent price that gives you the service. I will book this hotel again.

Front desk people were knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend Albana Real hotel for anyone. Breakfast food was great and we had three meals here, one in each of three different specialities. Location was also very good, but in Zurmatt no location is poor

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is located in the center of Zermatt, the street opposite the church. It is very central, and only 7 minutes away on foot to the bahnhof. The staff of this hotel were all very friend and helpful. The room given was on the first floor. The room was clean and comfortable, but I felt it too small for 2 people. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The bathroom also had a window to the street which was a good thing to keep it open to remove the steams after showering. The breakfast was sufficient. it consisted of cold cut, sweet pastries, coffee, bread and cereal. All in all it was a good hotel, and not too expensive.

HHong AVery amazed by the level of automation in the hotel! Check-in was seamless even though it was just an iPad. We needed to pay a tourist tax via an online link prior to arrival but we were abit wary given the number of online scams nowadays - perhaps it’ll be better to charge everything up front?
There was free coffee available as well, which was a huge plus. The room was amazing, spotlessly clean, sufficiently big, had a balcony, comfortable bed. One of the staff (a guy) allowed us to put our luggage in the room early even though we could only encode our card after 3pm. He even helped us make a reservation at Du Pont as we didn’t have a Swiss number, thanks very much!
The hotel is a 10min walk from the main train station, though there are free buses which can shorten the journey. We just walked as it was faster.
We were in Swiss for 2 weeks and this hotel is definitely the best accommodation we had - for a very good price as well!

PPengguna Tetamui made 2 stay at patricia. this was my first apartment stay for trip. in short, apartment was much more expectation. clean room with good cooking equipment including salt, pepper & oil. perfect view of matterholn from good space of veranda with table where we enjoyed breakfast, lunch & dinner. 15minutes walk fm zermatt station to apartment. lovely apartments, hotel, shops around Patricia. i would recommend you should go to viewpoint, to which it would take 20 minutes fm apartment. both daytime and night time were splendid with cute houses&matterholn! p.s. paragliding by flybypara was also splendid. i would recommend it as welas Patricia :)

GGuest user123Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel based on reviews but it was a good stay!! Great value for Zermatt! Walking distance about 10 mins from Zermatt station, on shopping street. Toilets and stairway up a bit small but ok for us. Luckily we were located on first floor so didn’t have to climb up too many stairs with our luggage. There’s a pizzeria below. Things to note: didn’t see a bin ( only a small one in toilet) so maybe bring your own plastic bag for a bin as well as room slippers.
Place was clean! However there’s some loud music that played even in the wee hours of the night like 3am, so if you are a light sleeper, you might need to put on some ear plugs to muffle the noise out. Nonetheless, A huge thank you for the stay. Convenient, Breakfast was awesome, simple spread but very heartwarming and the coffee was the most delicious I’ve had. It was the Easter weekend so there’s pretty Easter eggs for breakfast too! The lady owner was lovely and check in and check out was very easy and seamless. We stayed for a night and would recommend this place.
