We stayed two nights here, before and after cycling the Shimanami Kaido. The location could not be better. Arriving by train, the hotel is just across a pedestrian walkway, facing the inland sea. Most of the cycle rental places are along the waterfront or nearby. The short ferry trip to start the cycling is almost in front of the hotel. The Superior Queen room with view was comfortable with electric kettle, green tea & coffee drip bags. The view (from levels 5 & 6) was great. The rooms have a retro charm. Breakfast was included & offered western & Japanese options. Nothing fancy but perfectly adequate. The reception staff speak some English & they were happy to store our luggage while we cycled. There is a coin laundry & bike storage off the main reception area. Overall, very good value.

We really enjoyed the hotel where we stayed for two nights in a twin room. Beds were great and the room was very quiet and there is a Lawsons next door which was very suitable for breakfast. Wifi was free and fast. The only negative is that the hotel is about two kilometres from the station and although there is a limited free shuttle it was a little far out of town. A shuttle on demand would negate this obstacle. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent.

I spent a night here with my gf and it was a marvelous experience. They offer a luxurious dinner and breakfast experience that uses locally caught seafood and ingredients that will made your stay very pleasant. Located in a quiet area away from the city's hustle and bustle but still within walking distance from the local station and seaport. The staff were very hospitable and very thoughtful. The room offered a traditional Japanese bathroom with a tub made from cypress that gives a pleasant aroma when bathing. It has a nice outdoor view that you can enjoy from comfort of your own bathtub. The rooms a nicely appointed and have a 5-star experience that you can only experience at this ryokan. I would definitely recommend staying here if you ever visit Onomichi!

昭和の香りぷんぷんで、レトロです。でもどこに行くにも非常に便利な立地。駅も徒歩圏内、レープウェイも食べ物屋が近くにあり、満足。尾道ラーメンが隣にありましたが、あいにく金曜日は定期日でした。翌日チェックアウトした時に見たら開店前に列ができていました。ビジネスホテルなので狭いのですが、使いやすい棚が設置されていたのでこれは嬉しかったです。又、無料のスマホが置いてあり、外人さんにはとても気の利くサービスだと思います。 先着順の無料駐車場があり、朝11時のチェックアウトまで置いておけるので朝の観光には助かりました。 スタッフは淡々としていましたが、姿が見えたら遅いエレベーターのボタンを押してくれていたり、傘を貸してくれたりと親切で、意外に気持ち良かったです。こういうホテルも今は中々無いので、頑張って欲しいと思いました。

Bella Vista Spa & Marina Onomichi is a small luxury resort hotel with just 44 total rooms. This area is known for ship building; the original property served as a serviced guest house for people involved in the industry beginning in 1973. The present property was established in 2007, offering rooms with ocean views and a spa. The property grounds is quite vast - it's perched on a hill overlooking the stunning Seto Inland Sea and the Bella Vista Marina at the water's edge. There are walkways throughout that offer nice vantage points by which to appreciate the scenic beauty of this area of Japan. The outdoor terrace stretches directly from the main indoor common area and has uninhibited views of the Seto Inland Sea. In the middle of the terrace is a stretch of water that appears to flow directly into the ocean (even though the Ocean is quite a ways away) - the water is less than 10cm deep and isn't meant for swimming; it's strictly for show, and it's probably the most Instragrammable aspect of the resort. And, especially in the Summer time, you'll have the ability to enjoy the infinity pool as well as partake in numerous activities (both onsite and outside the property), such as a beach BBQ and island hopping. There's also a ribbon chapel on the property grounds that has won numerous design awards, and I'd imagine that it would serve as a wonderful venue for weddings. In the resort itself, there's a nice spa facility as well as three different restaurants serving Sushi, Kaiseki and Basque-inspired cuisine (using local ingredients and recipes.) We stayed in the Panorama Terrace Suite, which was quite large 100m² and the third from the top category room at Bella Vista. The best room is the Bella Vista Maisonette Spa Suite, but we passed on it because we generally avoid Maisonette-style layouts, while The Bella Vista is similar to the Panorama Terrace Suite, except that it has it has an open air bath with a view of the Ocean; The Bella Vista was already booked when we tried to reserve it. While our room was spacious, nicely appointed and clean, it was showing its age somewhat. It could probably benefit from a refurbishment within the next few years, especially given the room rates that they charge here. There is a dearth of power outlets as well, which is further evidence that it was built more than a decade ago. The room has a stand-alone bath tub, but it's not Onsen (natural hot springs.) In fact, there's no longer Onsen anywhere on site - supposedly, Onsen stopped flowing about 7 years ago, and that was that. It's a shame, given that there is ”Spa” in the property's name, but a Japanese Spa resort without Onsen is a bit of a misnomer if you ask me. Not their fault, but them's the facts. Dining wise, Bella Vista offers 3 options - Sushi, Kaiseki and Basque-inspired cuisine. All three of the restaurants serve dishes using the very best of local ingredients from both land and sea. We planned to ride the Shimanimo Kaido and saw that if you stayed that the U2 you could collect rental bikes from the giant store the night before giving you an early start. So we booked. Alas the store isn’t open on a Tuesday (out research had lead us to believe only the Imabari store was closed on Tuesdays) and so we had to wait until the following morning to get bikes and set off. The room was lovely and I slept really well here but the room lacks sufficient lighting and is very dark and is easy to lose things. The bath was enormous but being made just of brick it was quite cold in winter and took a lot of filling. We weren’t told that drinks etc were available in the laundry room and so we felt a bit annoyed to have paid quite so much for a room without a kettle. Only after I did some washing did I find this facility. The hotel offers plenty room to store bikes and has tools to use and even zwift set up. It is in a lovely setting of an old warehouse with a great restaurant etc. We ate breakfast, lunch and evening meal across the two days and all were good. Lastly the hotel stored our luggage overnight while we rode to Imabari and back for just 500 yen which was much appreciated. The hotel had a lovely vibe and I felt very relaxed there. Would happily return and recommend.

サイクリングの出発地点で宿泊しました。ＪＡＬパックのパッケージです。 駅近、レンタルサイクルも至近ということで、非常に便利です。 建物が古いとか、狭いということが言われていますが、清潔に清掃してあって、一人旅には十分でした。朝食の量が多いので、少し選べるようにしてもらえればいいと思いました。千光寺まで歩きましたが、それほど遠くなく、市内観光にも最適だと思います。 また、機会があれば利用したいと思います。

Sebuah hotel mata air panas kecil di daerah beli-belah Onomichi. Hotel ini sangat bersih, pedalaman sangat menarik, air panas juga bagus, kira-kira 10 jenis syampu dan perapi sangat menarik. Saya datang dengan motosikal, tetapi ia sangat dekat dengan terminal feri Mukoshima. Saya rasa ia akan mengambil masa kira-kira 5 minit untuk berjalan kaki ke platform ropeway Gunung Qianguangsi, Muzium Sejarah dan Muzium Filem.

是去考試的，夜裡到清早走，沒能享受美麗的環境，地理位置很好，但夜幕降臨無法出門，因為從商店街走回旅館爬山有一段很黑，用手機開手電筒才找到旅館的，很危險。 早上看清晨的尾道非常美，日式榻榻米睡着也沒有不舒服，早上晚上可以去咖啡館喝咖啡這點也很好，雖然工作人員拉的花不好看，但味道沒問題。 住宿唯一體驗不好的是旅館的浴室很陳舊，衹有沐浴露洗髮水提供沒有護髮素，並且不會主動給牙刷牙膏什麼的（我是自帶的，不知道問他要要不要收錢）旅館想買也沒有梳子早上無法梳頭，想買生活用品工作人員說最近的便利店要走二十分鐘（畢竟在山上沒辦法）。 圖是晚上房間拍的

It’s easy to get lost in the long hallways of this mansion turned ryokan. Our room had a magnificent view of the stait at Sedota. The host was very friendly and thanks to google translation we could communicate. Unfortunately the men’s bath was closed. They let us use the women’s together.
