Aarhus, the city of smiles :-)

A little off the beaten track, one might suggest... but Aarhus is a great destination for a weekend if you're looking for something a bit different. I paid just £35 for my return flight in April 2024 from Stansted to the city of smiles. I can see where it gets it's nickname from, the Danish community are among the friendliest in Europe. Aarhus has a lot to offer with a bustling food scene and a fantastic deer park outside the city centre, a beautiful 1hr stroll away. Id' definitely recommend Aarhus for anyone looking for a relaxed city away from the hustle and bustle of the equally busy capital, Copenhagen.
