Aix-en-Provence

Provence was once an administrative province of the Roman Empire, and now it is a region in southeastern France, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the south, the Alps to the north, and Italy to the east. Major cities in Provence include Marseille, Avignon, and Aix-en-Provence. Thanks to its unique climate and soil, lavender and sunflower fields are scattered throughout the countryside, making Provence a popular tourist destination. St. Savior's Cathedral is a mixture of various architectural styles from the 5th to the 17th century. Malta's St. John's Cathedral, built in the 12th century, the Madeleine Church, built in the 17th century, and the Holy Spirit Church, built in the 18th century, are all included.
