As a Singaporean, visiting Amsterdam was a truly freeing experience. I’m not just talking about the fact that w**d and v*pe devices are legal there, or the proud displays of the 🏳️‍🌈+ flags, but the lack of overly modern buildings and the abundance of flora and fauna. Vines and flowers seem to grow everywhere with little to no trimming! Wide canals lined with bicycles and cars and occasionally, people having a meal (just be sure not to fall in!) Speaking of bicycles, don’t ever wander into the bicycle lane or cross it without looking both sides twice, the locals there don’t play around and they cycle really fast. Everything is within walking distance, or you can choose to take the public transport. Public restrooms are a bit tricky to find, so download the Flush app if you’d like. But most restaurants have them available (with a 0.5-2£ fee to use depending on the place). #amsterdam #summervacation #celebratewithtrip
