The never-ending legend - InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam.

I went to Europe during the National Day holiday. It's been four years. Apart from the price increase, everything else feels familiar. Although I've been there many times, it was my first time in Amsterdam, so I chose the historic InterContinental hotel. InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam has a history of over 150 years. It is said to be the first InterContinental in the world, although it only has 79 rooms. It is famous for its rich history and noble atmosphere, and has received many royal and celebrity guests. When I took a boat tour of the canal, the guide specifically mentioned that this InterContinental was the first important hotel in the city and the facade of Amsterdam's hospitality. The hotel is located next to the Amstel River, at the intersection of the canals, and has a spectacular river view. The hotel was completely renovated in 2008 and is well maintained. The hotel lobby is very luxurious and elegant, with a 19th-century elegant staircase, gorgeous chandeliers, exquisite oil paintings, marble floors, and blooming flowers, providing guests with a beautiful and magnificent palace-like space. The public area is mainly white, which is very beautiful when the sun is full. It was renovated ten years ago and there is no sense of oldness. The room I stayed in was a river view room, about 40 square meters. The room decoration adheres to the overall style of the hotel, European retro, elegant and comfortable. The room color is light white, mostly wrapped in very beautiful Rococo-style blue pattern wallpaper, the details are very particular, the head of the bed, the head of the bed stool, the wardrobe are all wrapped in the same pattern wallpaper. The room's classical furniture and beautiful Delft porcelain table lamps also complement the wallpaper. The room view is of course the Amstel River view. Unlike the winding canals in the city, it is very open here. The room has good lighting, the light and shadow are intertwined, it is very beautiful, and it even looks a bit like Vermeer's painting. The room's mattress, bedding, bath towel, and bathrobe are all very good. As a DA welcome gift, it is also rich, fully in line with the positioning of a luxury hotel. In general, my evaluation of InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam is quite good, and it is a hotel worth visiting. The hotel's history, art design, service and even hardware are all high-level, worthy of being a city facade hotel.
