Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm (Wat Pho)

Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm (Wat Pho) is a first-class royal temple of the type Rajavaramahavihara and is the temple of the reign of King Rama I. It is also considered the first university of the country as it houses inscriptions of various branches of knowledge. UNESCO registered it as a Memory of the World for the Asia-Pacific region in March 2008, and on June 16, 2011, UNESCO registered 1,440 inscriptions from Wat Pho as a Memory of the World in the international register, making it the third site in Thailand to receive this recognition.
