#Barcelona# Casa Vicens was designed by Gaudi in 1883 for Manel Vicens, a Spanish stock and currency broker, as his villa. This was Gaudi's first complete large-scale project at the age of 31. The Vicens House took 2 years to design and build, and was completed in 1885. It was the first independent architectural work completed by Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí, marking the beginning of his career and one of the first buildings of the Art Nouveau movement. Originally a private villa, the house was included in the #UNESCO World Heritage# in 2005 and officially opened to the public as a museum in November 2017.
