Laigu Glacier, located in Ranwu Town, Basu County, Qamdo Prefecture, is one of the world's three major glaciers. It originates from the adjacent Laigu Village and is composed of multiple glaciers such as Meixi and Yalong, with Yalong Glacier being the most spectacular. After a half-hour ride on the shuttle bus, we arrived at the No. 1 viewing platform. Although October is not the best season to view glaciers, the scenery of the ice lake still amazed us. Although the ice layer on the lake surface is slightly thin due to the season, the fusion of ice and water appears particularly harmonious under the sunlight. The hardness of ice and the smoothness of water are vividly displayed here, as if telling stories of thousands of years. Looking out from the viewing platform, the mountains stretch endlessly, and the autumn colors add a unique touch to this journey. Although the ice lake is not as spectacular as imagined, its beauty is presented in another way, evoking awe. This may be the charm of Tibet, making people feel awe-inspiring, perhaps only visiting once in a lifetime, but it will linger forever.
