Yanqi Lake and the Colorful Forests

Located in Huairou, Yanqi Lake is famous for hosting high-level summits. The entire lake area is dotted with hotels and villas, surrounded by colorful forests. Walking along the Xishan Trail, the first afternoon was moderately hazy, and the road ahead was barely visible. The next day at noon, I climbed again, and the intense midday sun pierced through the clouds and fog. Looking sideways into the distance, I finally caught a glimpse of the lake and mountains. The scenery unfolded like a painting, pleasing to the eye. As the sunlight weakened, the distant view was once again shrouded in mist.
