Benxi Water Cave

Basic Information - Opening hours: 8:00–16:00 all year round. - Ticket prices: November 1–March 31, adult tickets are CNY 70, senior tickets are CNY 55, and student tickets are CNY 35. - Address: Xiejiawaizi Village, Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province. Transportation - Self-driving: Take the Shenyang-Dandong Expressway through Benxi City, exit at Xiaobao, and the scenic area has a parking lot. - Public transportation: From Benxi City, you can take a direct tourist bus or take a bus to Xiaoshi at Benxi Dongfen Passenger Station and get off at the water cave. You can also take a long-distance bus or high-speed train from Shenyang to Benxi City and then transfer to transportation to the scenic area. Tour Route After entering the scenic area, first visit the dry cave, which is 300 meters long and full of strange rocks. Then, collect a life jacket and queue up to take a boat tour of the water cave. The water cave is deep and wide, with 2,800 meters open to the public, and is divided into the Three Gorges, Seven Palaces, and Nine Bends. After exiting the cave, you can visit the Benxi Museum of the China Geological Museum and the Petrified Wood Kingdom, both of which are free to enter with a Benxi Water Cave ticket. Must-see Attractions - Water Cave: Known as the Nine-Bend Milky Way, the stalactites in the cave are of various shapes and are magnificent under the light. - Dry Cave: Now developed as the Ancient Biological Palace, it has attractions such as an ancient well, Longtan, and Baibu Pool. Food Recommendations - Benxi Xiaoshi Lamb Soup: Carefully stewed with lamb as the main ingredient, it is delicious. - Grilled Tofu Skin: Tofu skin is grilled over charcoal fire until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, drizzled with chili oil and soy sauce, and is fragrant.
