My first stop was the Palace of the Parliament, which is the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon! The entrance fee was around 40 RON (about €8), and the sheer scale of it is jaw-dropping. I also wandered through the Old Town, which is packed with vibrant bars, restaurants, and stunning historical buildings like Stavropoleos Monastery. The architecture is a beautiful mix of neo-classical and communist-era buildings, making the cityscape incredibly unique. 🏛️ If you’re into parks, don’t miss Herăstrău Park—a huge green space where you can even rent a boat to paddle on the lake. For something more cultural, the Village Museum nearby is like stepping back in time, with traditional Romanian houses and a super reasonable entrance fee of just 15 RON. The food scene is another highlight! I tried some local dishes like sarmale (stuffed cabbage rolls) and mici (grilled minced meat), which were so tasty. And of course, the nightlife here is buzzing, especially along Lipscani Street. Transfagarasan 💚 After driving up a zig zag road you’ll have the most amazing view over green hills and crystal clear lakes ⛰️ 5.Peles Castle ❤️Another very unique castle with a beautiful park 🌳 6.Bran Castle 🧛‍♂️ This is the home of Count Dracula 🩸 🏰 7-9. Sibiu ❤️ This city could be located in Germany and it‘s so much fun to walk around the cute streets. 🚗 How to get around The easiest way is to take a car because many places can‘t be accessed by public transport. ⏰ Best time to visit From spring to autumn is probably the most convenient time! We were in Romania in summer and the weather was perfect ☀️ 🏨 Where to stay Hotels are very affordable but you need to search a bit to find dog friendly ones (just activate the „pets allowed“ filter on your preferred booking website / app) 🛏️ 🐶 Is Romania dog friendly? It depends. We had no issues to bring Felix to the sights but restaurants don‘t allow dogs so better be prepared for that. Whenever we visit countries where street animals are, we often get messages like „Aren‘t you afraid they will attack Felix?“ but you don‘t need to be scared! Felix made many street doggy friends over the years and they are usually very submissive and just curious. Sharing a meal with them helps a lot 🍖 Make sure your dog‘s vaccinations are updated to protect him from diseases these animals might have and bring something against fleas. Restaurant in Bucharest with Unique Interior

In Bucharest, Romania, there is a restaurant and bar called Caru’ cu Bere, or “The Beer Cart”, which has over a 100 years of history. Being designated as a historical monument, it has retained its historical charm of stained glass windows, wooden furniture and Victorian style chandeliers. This place reminds me of the dining hall in Harry Potter movies. As it happened to be during the Halloween month, the restrooms had cute decorations to the theme with pumpkins and a scarecrow. This restaurant is famous with both locals and tourists, and it can get very crowded especially at night when people gather for a meal or drink after a long day. The pork knuckles is their signature dish. The two carving knives stuck into the meat and the really huge portion which is shareable between 2-4 pax depending on one's appetite makes it intimidating. #spooktaculartrip #tripblazers

This is a Bucharest classic, all pupils go here as it has great expositions and amazing items on display. King Mihai I Park (Herăstrău) Opposite the museum, one can see the Government building known as the Victory Palace. Whilst it doesn’t have much to offer architecturally, it overlooks the Victory Square which leads into Aviatorilor Square and finally to Bucharest’s largest park – Herastrau by the old name or Mihai I Park as it’s been recently baptised in respect to the late Romanian King, Michael I. #bucharest #romania

Just got of a walking tour of Bucharest which is a really awesome way to see the city. Advantages and disadvantages of a walking tour: Pros: 1) old buildings are just old buildings, with a guide you get to appreciate the meaning behind the architecture of these old buildings whether they are communism, gothic, french, classicism etc. 2) really efficient way to visit the city if u lack of time 3) guide can offer you the essentials of travelling in the city and save you time and money with their recommendations 4) a really good way to meet friends too Cons: You dont get to have enough time to linger in one spot

Romania, Bucharest, Old city! A lot of modern restaurants just in the middle of this amazing architecture!:) Very amazing atmosphere in the evening but I think 2 days is enough for visiting this country and this city. My score for this country 6 out of 10.

Evening on the lake, Herastrau Park

Into my short adventure through Bucharest, the beautiful romanian capital city, i couldn't stay away of Herastrau Park, probably the bigest park in Bucharest, with the big lake and more known places to serve a drink or to eat : Hard Rock Cafe, Beraria H... I have choosed a walk with the boat through the lake , the big boat , i am not brave enough to try the canoe version :)) For only 15 Lei i have spent over 20 minutes on the water, admiring the beautiful sunset and making beautiful memories with my friends. The boat can host up to 80 passengers, has two levels and it is the joy of all kids that went on board. I am not a child.anymore but i enjoyed this experience for the first time and i was all a smile through all the trip :))

Safari Art Expo - Bucharest

As i have visited Bucharest in weekend i must share with you the great experience of a visit at Safari Art Exposition, the 9th Edition this year . It was my very first participation but i left with a big promis to myself : i will be back :) I am not a profi but this visit helped me see the beauty through the eyes of different artists , their amazing creations brought light and colors into my eyes and heart ♥️ Different cultures, different times, different views , same great love for creation, same wish to share their vision out into the world . It was a day to remember, i have spent there more than three hours and i will not hesitate to go back for future experiences , Art Safari Expo it was a nice surprise into my Buxharest tour .

Pasarea Maiastra - The Master Bird

I live in Romania and i am absolutely proud of it , i would explore the world if i would have the time and resources to do it but i would always come back home happy to explore the little big miracles from my own world. This weekend i have visited Parcul Tei ( Lime Park ) in Bucharest, a great experience that i would recommend to anyone. Ok, i agree, i was there soon after 7 a.m , the park was absolutely empty and wild and beautiful, i would always recommend to discover a place in atipical hours, to explore the surroundings when no one else is there to see :) I have spent more than 3 hours in the park , i have walked through each corner and i have experienced 12 minutes of "Bucharest adventure" making a tour with the big wheel from the park , The Master Bird 🦚 The price of entry ticket is 15 Ron and this is a great experience for all those that will find their way through the park, adults and kids also :)
