Cardiff is a city with unique architecture

1. Cardiff is the capital of Wales, UK. It is located next to the beautiful Cardiff Bay, across the sea from Bristol, and is a must-see place for those traveling from England to Wales. 2. Cardiff is an important port and industrial and service center in the southwest of the UK. It has rich coal resources and was the world's largest coal export port in the early 20th century. The city has a unique blend of modern streets and buildings with old streets and ancient churches. 3. Cardiff Castle has a long and rich history, dating back to 76 AD when it was built as a military fortress by the Roman army. The castle has been destroyed many times in wars, but has been constantly repaired and revitalized, with each brick and tile telling a different story. 4. The large-scale reconstruction by the Scottish Bute family in the 19th century made it a magnificent Gothic building. The interior of the castle is lavishly decorated with a large number of murals, paintings, and reliefs. Each room in the castle has a different theme, with walls and ceilings full of medieval charm. On the recommendation of a friend, we visited the founding school of UWC, UWC Atlantic College. UWC was founded in 1962 and brings together young people from different backgrounds around the world to study and live together, with the aim of promoting international understanding and human peace. From Cardiff city center, take the train to Llantwit Major and then transfer to Bus 303 to reach this seaside school. The campus is large, surrounded by woodlands, valleys, and farmland. The most distinctive feature is the 12th-century castle on campus, which houses offices, classrooms, canteens, and libraries, reminiscent of Harry Potter. It is said that the canteen was also an alternative location for the "Hogwarts" long table banquet. The experience here is quite impressive.
