The first part, "The Earliest History of Changchun", tells the history from ancient times to the Bronze Age. "Changchun's First Village", "Changchun's First House", "China's First Stone Dragon, China's First Jade Bird" are equivalent to three special topics. Most of the cultural relics in "Changchun's First Village" and "Changchun's First House" come from the Wutaishan Ruins in Nongan. Since 2019, the Changchun Museum has begun to carry out proactive archaeological excavations at the Weilizi Ruins. According to archaeological research, the Weilizi Ruins are a Bronze Age settlement site, dating from the Warring States Period to the Han Dynasty. More than 3,000 years ago, the climate of the western Songhua River Basin gradually warmed, with lush water and grass, and abundant animal and plant resources. The ancestors lived a fishing and hunting life here. During the excavation, a large number of clam shells were unearthed, which suggests that the ancestors should have used clams and fish as their main food. The ancestors also used these clam shells to make many living tools, such as clam knives and fish spears. In particular, scapulae were also found at the Weilizi Ruins, which is a first in archaeological work in the Changji region. Previously discovered scapulae were mostly made from the shoulder blades of cattle, pigs, and sheep. The Weilizi Ruins also found scapulae made from fish gill bones, which is the result of the ancestors using local materials. In addition, iron sickles and iron hoes were also found at the site, which are estimated to be used for agricultural production.
