The Story of the Bluestone: Wolong Academy in Changting!

Wolong Academy is the oldest academy in the eight counties of Tingzhou, Fujian Province. It is located on South Street in Changting County. A Hui-style ancient building donated by Jackie Chan to Changting is located here, named "Longxue Hall." Jackie Chan also composed and sang the song "The Story of the Bluestone" for Changting. On the night of my arrival in Changting, I stepped into Wolong Academy. The ancient buildings looked even more charming under the lights. The mottled walls and bluestone slabs polished by time carry memories of the past. The flowers and plants in the courtyard swayed gently in the breeze, and the stone slabs were imprinted with the hurried footsteps of students and the light and shadow of their pursuit of knowledge. In the library, rows of ancient books were neatly arranged, exuding the fragrance of ink. In the lecture hall, desks and chairs were neatly arranged, and famous calligraphy and paintings were hung on the walls, creating a strong cultural atmosphere. Wenchang Pavilion enshrines Wenchang Jun, who blesses students to achieve success in their studies and promotes local culture. Strolling among the pavilions and towers, I admired the beautiful scenery of the academy at night and felt the tranquility and elegance. Wolong Academy has weathered many storms, but these bluestone slabs have always existed silently. Like loyal historians, they quietly tell the story of the academy's changes and the context of cultural inheritance.
