Changzhou's First Garden - Hongmei Park

Hongmei Park, located on the east side of downtown Changzhou, Jiangsu Province (No. 28 Danqing Road, Tianning District), is named after the famous ancient building in the park - Hongmei Pavilion. It is the largest comprehensive park in the city, the first garden in Changzhou, the largest national key park in Changzhou, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, and won the China Habitat Environment Award in 2010. Hongmei Park is divided into three areas and eight scenic spots. The three areas are: Cultural Relics and Historic Sites Area, Entertainment Activities Area, and Science Popularization Education Area. The eight scenic spots are: Hongmei Spring Dawn, Ancient Temple Bell, Curved Pond Lotus Breeze, Green Mountain Reflection, Phoenix Bridge Flower Path, Emerald Autumn Sunset, Lone Mountain Pine, and Wenbi Sunset. The park has important cultural relics protection units such as Wenbi Tower (built in the Southern Dynasties, over 1500 years old), Hongmei Pavilion (built during the reign of Emperor Zhaozong of Tang, over 1100 years old), Banshan Pavilion, Kasaya Tower, Ice Plum Stone, Jiaxian Archway, Tower Shadow Mountain House, Wenbi Building, and many other memorial sites. It is the largest comprehensive park in downtown Changzhou, known as the "People's Paradise, Urban Green Lung, and a model of urban central park gardens."
