Chongqing | Cliffside hotels and mountain hot springs. 😍 ’’ To avoid the crowds during the holidays, my family and I went to Beibei to stay at the famous Bolian Hotel. I've been to many hot springs, but this was my first time staying at a hotel. I can say that this is the best hotel in Chongqing. The hotel has been open for more than 10 years, but the design is still very good. The location is great, built along the cliff by the Jialing River, surrounded by towering trees, and each room has a terrace with a pool. The scenery is really great this season, with greenery everywhere, even the Jialing River is green. It's a relaxing and comfortable place to be. The hotel has a cliffside trail that connects to Jingangbei, which is perfect for a forest hike. You can walk along the cliffside trail to Jingangbei. After a long day, you can go back to the hotel for some rice noodles and a hot spring bath. I recommend going to the public pool at night. The public hot spring at night is less crowded and noisy than during the day, and hotel guests can enjoy a whole area of peace and quiet. During the day, it's better to enjoy the private indoor hot spring, where you can soak in the hot spring and drink tea while enjoying the view of the river. The food is good, and the rice noodles are a specialty. The chicken soup is really fragrant and rich, better than the Michelin rice noodles I had in Shaxi. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and a la carte, and the experience is great. The rice noodles are also a specialty. The downside is that they didn't tell us about the afternoon tea and tea tasting activities when we checked in, nor did they tell us about the breakfast location and time, which could be improved. Also, my favorite outdoor pool was not open this season, and the empty pool was a bit disappointing. Overall, the experience was great. It's a great place to escape the world during the holidays.
