Hotel | Chongzuo's Xikong at the Wild Stay Collection

Upon arrival at the Stay Collection, it began to rain. The hotel staff were already at the entrance to greet us, with warm smiles. The Stay Collection we checked into is called 'Xikong', with the lobby and rooms decorated in Tibetan style, featuring a strong ethnic minority atmosphere. The lemon water with sugar in the lobby is tasty but not recommended, as it can easily lead to high blood sugar levels. Each room is a standalone unit, like little mushroom houses out of a fairy tale. On the second floor of the lobby is an open-air swimming pool, from which you can also see almost the entire face of the Stay Collection. 'Xikong' is built along the Heishui River, and stepping out of the room, you can see the lush tropical plants intertwined with the scenery of the Heishui River, feeling as if you've walked straight into the embrace of nature. The rooms are spacious, with welcome fruit on the table, and an Elvis Presley radio📻, where you can put on music to space out and temporarily escape the noise and hustle of the city. Within a 10-minute walk from the hotel, you can also reach other Stay Collection brands, but I personally prefer 'Xikong' for its location and views. Next to Xikong is a unmanned small bookstore, where you can read books, and the hotel also offers kayaking, which you can try if interested. The breakfast restaurant is a few minutes' walk from the room and is also located by the river. It's semi-self-service, and the Guilin rice noodles are really spicy. Overall, the stay experience was quite good, and it's worth a visit when coming to Chongzuo.
