The highest unbroken waterfall in the England

This year I've seen some amazing waterfalls in Britain but none compare to Gaping Gill. It holds the record for the highest unbroken waterfall in England and the largest underground chamber naturally open to the surface. The site is open to the public on twice a year (1 week in May and 1 week in August) we went in August and it was gorgeous weather for it. it's a fantastic experience and I would definitely do it again. It's a fair walk to the location, so pack plenty of food and water on a hot day and a comfy pair of boots (my friend had blisters from not wearing the correct footwear). The walk from the car park to the site takes around 2 hours on average. Once you get to the site you'll check in and wait for your number to be called up (this can take anything from 1-4 hours depending on arrival time) when you get called up you will wait in a group of 4-6 people to be hoisted down into the cave (This is when you get wet haha) There is weight limit on the hoist, so do check before arriving. I was warned a few days before that although it may be hot outside but the temperature is a lot lower inside the cave and very wet. I ignored the warnings and continued into the cave wearing a t-shirt and jeans and I can confirm it is a lot colder down there. You will definitely get wet, so take waterproofs. I'm hoping to go down again soon, but I would like to explore the cave and to do so you need to be a professional climber/caver.
