Kourtaliotiko waterfall Greece,Crete

After spending a week in Greece,Crete I must say my visit to the Kourtaliotiko waterfall is certainly the highlight ! We hired a car to get here as it was quite remote although I saw lots of people traveling by quad bikes which is certainly a cheaper option especially if it’s a smaller group of people. There is free parking when you get there and about a 20/30 minute walk down the mountains to the waterfall. (The walk back is very tiring up steep stairs and heels so I recommend bringing some water) When you get there you have to swim through a short tunnel to get to the waterfall and I must warn you the water is the coldest water i’ve ever swam in but definitely worth it! We brought waterproof phone cases to take pictures and iff you are sensitive to walking on stones perhaps bring some water shoes! This is definitely a must visit, I really recommend iff you are planning to go to Crete!
