🏯Guizhou Xuanwei Mansion is the official residence where Guizhou Xuanwei Envoy Ai Cui and Madam Shexiang, along with their descendants, handled governmental affairs. 📜Historical Background: According to historical records, during the Shu Han period, the ancestor of the Shui Xi Yi ethnic chieftain, Jiji Huo, who lived in Min (present-day Dongchuan, Yunnan), was conferred the title of 'King of Luodian' for his contributions in assisting Zhuge Liang's southern expedition. In the third year of the Taiqing period of the Southern Liang Dynasty (549), the twentieth generation of Jihuo's Min branch expanded northeast from Min (present-day Dongchuan, Yunnan) to the areas of present-day Shuicheng, Dafang, and Qianxi, and was known as the Lulubu. During the Song Dynasty's Huangyou period, it was called the 'Ghost Kingdom of the Luo Clan.' The Yuan Dynasty established the Tusi system, with its administrative center in present-day Guiyang, dividing 'Shuixi' and 'Shuidong' for separate governance along the Yachi River. The Ming Dynasty established the 'Guizhou Xuanwei Department (administered in present-day Guiyang),' with the An family inheriting the title of Xuanwei Envoy and the Song family inheriting the title of Xuanwei Assistant. Each Xuanwei had its own jurisdiction. The An family's jurisdiction roughly corresponded to the northwestern part of present-day Guizhou Province, west of Xiuwen, north of Puding, east of Shuicheng, and south of Dafang. Since most of it was west of the Yachi River, it was commonly known as Shuixi. In the third year of the Chongzhen period (1630), the areas east of the Yachi River were removed and set up as garrisons, limiting the jurisdiction to Shuixi. In the fifteenth year of the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1658), it was renamed Shuixi Xuanwei Envoy, and during the Kangxi period, the title was discontinued due to the lack of heirs. ✅Overview of the Attraction: The entire mansion is divided into 'one plaza, eight courtyards, and nine tiers.' The reconstructed Luodian King's Mansion is backed by Yunlong Mountain and faces Luositang, oriented from northeast to southwest. It adopts a symmetrical layout along the central axis, with the 'nine tiers and eight courtyards' ascending in levels, progressing step by step. From a bird's-eye view, it is small at both ends and large in the middle, resembling an abstract tiger's head, symbolizing the leap of a tiger and the soar of a dragon. 🔁Route: Follow the central axis upwards to visit each tier in sequence. The nine large halls and nine tiers of offices are arranged in order.
