Wenchang Temple.

Wenchang Temple is located at No. 1, Xinnan Street, Dai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. It was built during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty. The temple is 58 meters long from east to west and 25 meters wide from north to south. There are five main halls in the temple, five wide and three deep, with a magnificent front porch. Wenchang Temple is dedicated to Wenchang Dijun (Zitong Dijun) Zhang Yazhi. It is said that Wenchang Dijun is the god in charge of the literary movement and official career of the world. "The Lord of the Thirty-Three Heavens, the Lord of the Life and Death of the World, and the Lord of the Eighteen Hells and Reincarnations", all disasters, prayers, and blessings, "must be communicated if you feel it". The main hall of Wenchang Temple is a brick and wood structure, well preserved, and there are stone inscriptions, which have the value of ancient architecture and carving art. When I went there, the door was not opened, and only a few exterior photos were taken. In 1984, it was announced by the People's Government of Dai County as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit.
