The second country on my West African tour is Senegal 🇸🇳 Upon arriving in the capital, Dakar, I could feel the city's "development" Compared to other places in West Africa, Senegal is really the best place to travel! The most recommended place for a day trip in Dakar is Slave Island! Take a half-hour boat ride from the pier to the island 🌊 It feels like I'm in southern France 💡Friendly reminder: Avoid weekends! 🌊Gorée Island Half-Day Tour 📍IFAN Historical Museum After getting off the boat at the pier, turn right and cross the beach to reach this seaside fortress It is now a museum, although it is said to close at 4:30 pm But we arrived at 5 pm and still got in, the ticket 🎫 is 1500 There are many exhibition halls on the first floor, and the open-air artillery platform on the second floor has a great view 📍House of Slaves A must-visit place on Gorée Island, the ticket 🎫 is 1500 Closes at 6 pm, closed on Mondays This was once a transit station where slaves were shipped and sold to the United States The bright yellow + lake blue color scheme is very bright, but behind it is a heavy history 📍Monument I LOVE GORÉE The ❤️ photo installation next to the pier, there are many people playing in the water on the nearby beach There are various restaurants and coffee shops along the entire coastal promenade, and every stop is a beautiful view~ Gorée Island is not big, you can visit it in half a day Bougainvillea can be seen everywhere, with a strong tropical island style 🌊 It was really crowded on the weekend, and it took several hours to wait for the boat If it were normal times, I might be very annoyed But in Africa, time doesn't seem to matter Waiting for the boat at the pier, from dusk to dark No one cares about the passage of time People are no longer animals dominated by time There is no schedule Complaints are meaningless Happiness is everywhere You can still sing and dance in the evening breeze It seems that I have slowly learned to enjoy the present Don't rush, just feel the road
