Perhaps due to the terrain and climate, Dalian has many one-way streets, almost no non-motorized vehicle lanes, and no shared bikes or electric bikes. You can't ride a bike around, so you have to take a taxi or ride-hailing service, take a bus or subway, or walk. Taxis start at CNY 10, and buses start at CNY 1. The scenery along the bus route is beautiful. Xinghai Square: The light show starts at 9:30 PM. Cross-sea Bridge: Search for "Forest Zoo South Gate" on your navigation app. The best viewing spot is about a 2-minute walk away. Lingjiao Bay: It's a bit far, but the colorful buildings are great for photos. In early September, there were people feeding seagulls by the sea. If you're not going to Tiger Beach, it's not recommended to go there just for photos. Dalian Haichang Oriental Water City: A group of buildings modeled after Venice. You can take a boat to enjoy the scenery. The World Music Museum requires an admission ticket. The atmosphere is great and transportation is convenient. Zhongshan Square: It's very close to Venice Water City. You can take Subway Line 2. There are many pigeons in the square, which is quite pleasant. P.S.: The temperature in Dalian is still quite high, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun. There aren't many tourists in September, so it's a good time to go if you like to travel during off-peak times. Dalian has many slopes, so if you like to walk, be sure to wear a pair of comfortable, durable shoes.
