The design project covers 159 rooms, an international conference center, and facilities such as multi-functional restaurants and SPA centers. Each design is carefully planned to adapt to the unique hot and humid climate of the region. The layout strategy of the project, "One Pool and Two Banks", is inspired by the water town characteristics of traditional Lingnan villages, especially Nanshe Ancient Village. The designer naturally divides the hotel's public area and guest room area on both banks by creating an internal artificial lake landscape, while ensuring the harmony of the dynamic and static zoning. In addition, the overall architectural design fully considers the use of terrain and strives to minimize interference with the natural environment. In terms of space creation, the gad design team draws on the spatial rhythm of Lingnan gardens, and through traditional elements such as open halls, corridors, and courtyards, combined with modern design techniques, creates a series of continuous spaces with Lingnan cultural characteristics. From the open design of the lobby to the smooth connection of various functional areas, every detail shows a modern interpretation and application of traditional architectural wisdom. Climate response design is another highlight of Banyan Tree Dongguan Songshan Lake. Considering Dongguan's strong sunlight and high humidity climate, the hotel uses a lot of gray space, such as patios and recessed corridors, to optimize internal ventilation and lighting. The corridors and cross-lake bridges not only enhance the visual effect of the structure, but also improve the practicality and comfort of the building. The hotel is indeed quite desolate, but there is a Vanke in about 10 minutes. There are many restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies, and tea shops in it, which can meet basic needs.
